I was inspired by Margaret Preston’s work on this occasion, wanting to give the impression of a print somehow. This is a mixed media production in which I used ink, pastel, acrylic and charcoal.

The prettiest laundry day ever…. a sweet little girly dress hanging on the floral clothesline… very whimsical! From a Wall Mural I painted in New Jersey. Acrylic paints were used.

So we started linoleum printing in art class, and I was satisfied with the result of my prints. I decided with a little tweaking, I’d be able to make a tee for all you dia de los muertos/skull fans out there. I used the linoprint to make an actual tee for myself, so I owe it to all you to share the wealth. / :]

Rosa the most beautiful green eyed tabby cat. Out of shot are her four month old kittens. Rosa and her babies were rescued and re-homed by the Cats Protection organization.

They wanted to pose like the cover of “Bride Wars,” but after a couple shots they ran off to play. LOL! So, I thought that was a cute idea but will try again later. This was shot with my new Nikon D5000 (which I LOVE!!!) and I desaturated everything except the flowers in Microsoft Digital Image Pro and digital painted to accentuate the hair, shirts, and face.

A bit of fun with a neighborhood cat. I love his cute markings so I added some texture and a few Gazanias for good measure ;-)

Okay, one more of the adorable Benjamin Bunny from my front garden. In this one he is happily noshing on some dandelion leaves, while showing me what a cute cotton puff he has on his tail!! ;-)

Just a bit more fun (as if I couldn’t have any more than I already am having!) with Patches, our Bunny-visitor. I had fun grabbing some shots of him in our back garden today, he’s quite familiar with our entire acreage apparently!
