A new friend I made on my walk today. After not having a very good photography day, I was discouraged. I saw this guy scamper up a tree and decided to follow. Most squirrels I have encountered aren’t the most willing models… but this guy found the noise from the shutter fascinating. He would actually move closer to me. Then he’d play games like running around the back of the tree and popping his head out like here. My roommates cat Luna curled up on my bed, located in the west end of St. John’s, Newfoundland. She was so cute and sweet I just had to take a few photos. / Taken with my Canon 450D, using an ISO of 400, a f/1.8, a focal length of 50 mm, and a shutter speed of 1/40 sec. Lightly edited using Lightroom 2.
