  • While walking with good friend of mine along a lonely path location on the insides of a city she reaches out and for no reason at all takes my hand. We continue walking without words. None needed. A house comes upon us. I take a picture. This is the picture. Somehow the perfect representation of the moment. / What lay inside this window? • Original in 2b pencil. Added sepia. From the Vampire series. The guest was shaving in a mirror he had brought with him & the Vampire comes up behind him, & the guest is startled, because the Vampire does not cast a reflection in the mirror so comes upon the guest unseen & unheard, & the guest is so startled & he cuts himself, & begins to bleed, & the Vampire sees the blood and reaches out for him, but burns his fingers on the crucifix around the guest’s neck, the guest is saved by the crucifix which the woman back at the inn had given him before he reached the castle

  • BEST VIEWED LARGER Clareville is North of Sydney, on the shores of Broken Bay, 30 kkilometres from the Sydney CBD. A perfect place to sit and watch the sunset, a good Australian wine and company. This is my neighbourhood, not more than 15 minutes from my doorstep. From a photo point of viewit catches the reflections of a great sunset, it’s jetties are great prop for silhouettes. This photo is the result of four braketted images processed through photomatix HDR software, some sharpening in Capture NX, no colour manipulation. It shows how HDR can enhance a shot. Equipment used Nikon D300 (Magic!) lens was a Sigma 10-20mm a great lil lens, no filters were used. My continuing journey of learning with HDR The Sister Image /
