Laying on this floor in this abandoned cinema was this ancient telephone. I don’t know why but telephones seem to be one of the things that i always take shots of while I’m walking round one of these derelict places taking photographs. I wonder how long since this thing has heard a human voice, longer than it is since the site closure i would imagine / !

Who would have believed that here in this 21st Century humanity would still be suffering turmoil and conflict! Perhaps the consequences of our acts on ‘The Blue Planet’ may be just too much for her to bear…? / Created by Photo manipulation and filter work in Photoshop. My thanks to the following contributors for their stock images and photoshop brushes:- NASA for The Blue Marble / Sirranon of Deviant Art for Scissors / Stephanie Shimerdla for Clouds and Water Brushes Shimerdla How it was made:- / I used the Flaming Pear Flexify filter to alter the shape of the planet earth – Input – Equirectangular, Output – Quasar, Glue – Pin Light. / Create reflection with FP Flood Filter. / Make a cutout of the Scissors Stock Photo using the Extract Filter, Eraser and History Brush in Photoshop – create new layer for Scissors (by dragging it onto the Earth Background Layer and then resize and position them to appropriate place. Use the eraser to remove parts where they need to be behind the ‘Pinched Earth’. / Use Layer Style to create reflective edges and shadows on the scissors themselves. / New Layer – use Water Brush – in white in correct position. Arrange Layer to go behind the scissors. Use Layer Style to give reflective appearance. Use the Smudge Tool to merge the base of the water into the reflection. / New Layer – Add Clouds with Photoshop Brush – again in white colour and then use Layer Blending and Style to get desired effect – take the opacity down to 50%. / Defringe Layers in turn with Matting Command and then Flatten Image.

As loans default and foreclosures increase, the lenders have to pay out more and more to hide the losses. But the lenders can only make this up by making more loans, because this is how they increase their cash flow; and now it is clear they can make nore loans, and thereby increase their cash flow only by simultaneously increasing their losses, since their “loans” are proving to be losers. So no one wants their”paper” anymore because-well-it’s the financial equivalent of toxic waste. The “subprime” stuff is just the first surge: the tidal wave is close behind. Because all of it, the subprime, the prime, the AAA and everything in between, is the product of a previously hidden, but now obvious…Ponzi scheme. A Ponzi scheme that is in the process of unraveling, as all Ponzi schemes eventually do. And what person wants to be the last idiot to buy into a Ponzi scheme? I’ve had quite a few emails regarding my cut RB tees and how to do it. Rather than repeating myself over and over again. Heres the instructions for you all!! Theres a few different ways of doing it, its completely up to you how you want them to look but heres the basic techniques.Make sure you have sharp scisoors too!! Fold the tee in half lengthways with the print on the outside. Keeping the tee really flat. / From the folded edge where the ribbed neckline is start cutting around the neck…you can either follow the ribbing or for a wider neckline cut it outwards more so it finishes closer to the start of the sleeve. Once done, start on the sleeves I usually like the cap sleeve look, but for the tank I started cutting from the underarm and literally cut the whole sleeve off, using the seam as the guide…cut the seam off too! / Just make sure you cut one sleeve first, then us it as a guide for the 2nd one….4 layers of fabric is too thick to cut through all together / You can also cut a strip off the sleeve and turn it into a tie. this is what I did on the green tee, for one of the black tees I cut the sleeve and simply tied it as the end. The good thing is you can be as creative as you want, there really is no limitations. Just test on an old tee first for a practice run!
Taken just after I was ‘blessed’ by one of these three. Not sure which one it was – LOL!!

BEST VIEWED LARGER This shot was taken from Berrys Bay/ Balls Head Park on the north shore of Sydney taken on Wednesday 28th May 2008 around 5pm. As you can see the clouds herald what is to come, the buildings are lit by pre storm light combined with the last rays of day light. The storm that followed was quite severe with 868 recorded lightning strikes, just have to love the clouds and light. Equipment used Nikon D300 and Nikon 18 – 200mm lens / HDR , 3 Exposures , Photomatix 3, Capure NX . / See Also
