  • I haven’t created a new fractal in a while, so I thought it was time. For some reason, I just can’t break myself away from the whole sphere thing. Even my paintings when I was younger all had some sort of sphere. Someone once told me it was my secret signature, who knows? Don’t ya just love the title though? The tones of this piece reminded me of coffee with lots of cream, maybe a rounded sugar cube, hense the Expresso reference. And the rest, well hey, it’s an abstract, I can name it any ridiculous name I want! LOL (ok, so I’m watching Ghost Hunters, so apparition just stuck in my head :P ) Created in Apophysis 3d Hack This piece was featured in the Abstract Art group and the Fractal Frenzy group. All in all theres something to give, / All in all theres something to do, / All in all theres something to live, / With you … All I need is a little sign, / To get behind this sun and cast this weight of mine, / All I need is the place to find, / And there Ill celebrate. All in all theres something to give, / All in all theres something to do, / All in all theres something to live, / With you …

  • A fractal composite created in Apophysis and postprocessed in PhotoImpact. A neo Celtic design. This image brings to mind lines from the beautiful ‘Elegy Written in a Country Churchyard‘ by Thomas Gray ((1716-71) Beside the rural grave of an unknown youth, the poet reflects upon the unacknowledged beauty and heroism in the souls of those living in relative obscurity, poverty I love this poem because it is both beautiful and thought-provoking. It is an elegy, and a eulogy, for the heroism and creativity needed to live lives ruled by work and necessity. It is also a moving reminder of a way of life that was being lost to the Industrial Revolution. / Here’s a link to the full poem From ‘Gray’s Elegy’ ...Let not Ambition mock their useful toil, / Their homely joys, and destiny obscure; / Nor Grandeur hear with a disdainful smile / The short and simple annals of the Poor. ….. ...Perhaps in this neglected spot is laid / Some heart once pregnant with celestial fire; / Hands, that the rod of empire might have sway’d, / Or waked to ecstasy the living lyre: But Knowledge to their eyes her ample page, / Rich with the spoils of time, did ne’er unroll; / Chill Penury repress’d their noble rage, / And froze the genial current of the soul. Full many a gem of purest ray serene / The dark unfathom’d caves of ocean bear: / Full many a flower is born to blush unseen, / And waste its sweetness on the desert air…

  • Incendia /

  • Fractal abstract featuring lacy patterns, orbs, curves in delicate pink and pastel shades. Created in Sterling 2.

  • I am getting alot of questions about the rendering time of Incendia! It’s important to know it’s never done so don’t wait for it to finish, you have to stop and check for the detail regularly and save it when you are satisfied with the amount of detail showing! Here’s a little collage, a detail of a very large file, rendered in Incendia 1.3 the first is after a couple hours of rendering, the second after a day, the third after two days and the fourth after three days, as you can see the detail gets more clear all the time. Hope this helps a bit! The new Incendia 1.3 is now available to the public, please check it out and give it a try and if you like it make a donation to get the HighRez version, you won’t regret it, it is BRILLIANT!! Wishing you all a fabulous and creative week! KUS! daisy~’*-
