Another shot of the Guggenheim Museum exterior in Bilbao, Spain. The building was designed by Frank Gehry. The entire exterior is covered in titanium and from a distance almost resembles an abstract ship. Given that Bilbao is a port town, Gehry intended this. The museum houses modern art of the 20th and 21st centuries and is constantly changing its exhibitions. Unfortunately cameras are not allowed inside, so no photos of the incredible interior are available. But that should give everyone a push to get out and see this awesome building and museum for themselves. Slightly cropped from original and minimal exposure adjustment. MCN: C2AA7-89FC0-AF489
This image will never win any awards for simplicity in design. There isn’t any Zen quality to it. Like the universe it flows and moves and bends. It’s busy and unstructured as the forces of different attractions and repulsions tear each other apart. It’s modern or abstract and yes the base image started as a fractal image. Most of those fractal image qualities have been distorted out of recognition here. / The beauty of the image beside the interweaving of all the colors and lines, is the synergy it creates and the time it takes to wrap your mind around what it is you see and what it is that you don’t see. While some might see the busy beauty, others might think this is a macro of an insect smashed on the windshield at 100km per hour. I hope it stirs a creative current in your mind. This is Loch Ness from Fort Augustus. The loch is so long and the Great Glen Fault so straight that it may well be the only loch/lake in Britain that you can not see the end of due to the curvature of the Earth…..this picture captures it somewhat, but on a clear day you can see a mirage effect where the sky meets the loch. HDR shot taken with following settings. Camera Model Name / Canon EOS 450D / Tv(Shutter Speed) / 1/4Sec 1/10Sec 1/30Sec. / Av(Aperture Value) / F22 / ISO Speed / 200 / Lens / EF-S18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS / Focal Length / 18.0 mm
Half Moon Bay State Park, located south of San Francisco is a glorious white beach, which stretches for 4 miles, sharply contrasting the Pacific Ocean. Flanked by beautiful, yet rugged dunes, the gently curved beach, denoted by its name, provides a spectacular array of both native plants and wildlife. The best time to visit Half Moon Bay is in the spring or fall, due to extensive fog in the summer. This photograph was taken with a Canon XTI.

What I love about this shot is the penguin peering over the edge in the top right!! Always curious little creatures…
