Site of more than 300 film and television projects since 1939, Old Tucson Studios is one of the most active filming locations for Western-themed movies, television, cable shows and commercials in the United States. Western classics such as “Rio Bravo,” “The Outlaw Josey Wales,” and “Tombstone” were filmed here. John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, Elizabeth Taylor and Kurt Russel are just a few of the legends who have walked these fabled streets playing the unforgettable roles that are etched in our minds and hearts forever. I was visiting the studio of a bunch of cutting edge artists one time and out of the corner of my eye I spied this little teddy hiding behind the curtains of one of the lofts we where in…. it’s kind of poignant and refreshing to realize that no matter how ‘grown up’ we get or how important or meaninful our artworks become… in our heart of hearts we all some how retain just a little bit of the child…. and hang on to some of the crucial markers of that….like this little teddy bear…. kind of hiding but still important enough to be part of the life of this particular artist….. so cute and so very human
