  • Weird as it was, it only rained at the Ghost Town and was Beautiful and sunny when we left. After shooting the Ghost town 2 days later I broke out with Poison Oak. and of course there was the voice of an elderly Man I heard in one of the worn down sheds (Nobody around for at least 30 Yards).

  • Immortality (or eternal life) is the concept of living in a physical or spiritual form for an infinite length of time. What form an unending or indefinitely-long human life would take, or whether the soul possesses immortality, has been the subject of much speculation, fantasy, and debate. / Since immortality is seen as a desire of humanity, themes involving immortality often explore the disadvantages as well as the advantages of such a trait. Sometimes immortality is used as a punishment, or a curse that might be intended to teach a lesson. / In some parts of popular culture, immortality is not all that it is made out to be, possibly causing insanity and/or significant emotional pain. Much of the time, these things only happen to mortals who gain immortality. Beings born with immortality (such as deities, demigods and races with “limited immortality”) are usually quite adjusted to their long lives, though some may feel sorrow at the passing of mortal friends, but they still continue on… Marble statue of the boxer Creugas, ca. 1800. by Antonio Canova (Italian, 1757–1822) / Photographed at the Vatican Museums, June, 2007

  • On a trek across London, I visited the Millenium Dome (the world’s most expensive tent) in Greenwich, which is currently exhibiting some ancient Egyptian relics and artwork etc. Just outside the dome someone had decided that a more modern approach was required to entice people in to see the exhibition… 3000+ years of human progress gave us a brightly painted wooden pyramid and a stainless steel needle with an aesthetically pleasing twist. The major difference of course, is that these works of modern art are only intended to advertise the exhibition and are really quite clever at making a statement. Of course the artists involved were almost certainly given only a few months in which to create their masterpieces, whereas the Egyptian artists were expected to take much longer and probably subjected to .. err.. shall we say, more Intense contractual obligations (you can guess the sort of thing – “Create something worthy of pharaoh the living god… or Die” ). Hmmm .. come to think of it, I’ve had a few commisions like that myself. Lol. Still it did make for an interesting picture and I liked the contrast between ancient and modern, I hope you do too. The Image below illustrates how a framed print would look

  • I hear people say this all the time, “Man, so n so, dropped like 5 f-bombs at the teacher the other day.” or “I’m really trying to cut back on dropping f-bombs.” and so on. Anyway, I thought it was a nice way of telling people to stop cursing (cussing), in the long run, it only hurts yourself. Words are powerful tools. So I thought of illustrating a nifty shirt and drew a bomb with an F in it to say, hey, its ok to stop cursing, we should only be uplifting each other by speaking life into one another. “Watch the way you talk. Let nothing foul or dirty come out of your mouth. Say only what helps, each word a gift.” Eph 4:9 [The Message] In short, stop dropping F-Bombs, daggnamit. • this image is a follow on from the other madusa heartbrake image and came around after finishing the first and decideing that there where ways i could improve it and show madusa saddness. / Out of all the greek myths madusa is the one i come back to time and time again i feel that she realy had bad luck, she was the high pristess of Athrodietie and when her love said she was more beautyful than the goddess herself, she and her sister where cursed, but i can find no recold of anything happening to him. / She then has to spend the rest of her life as a monster unable to look at any living thing or she will turn it to stone, not an easy thing for anyone to live with if you think about it. / The image of the half women half snake also has relevants in other faiths, Lilith the women made from clay like adam before Eve was made from his rib, is part of Jewish tradition and to many the first witch, part of this image maybe due to her seeking advice from the snake in the garden of Edan, whilst she has also gone on to be shown with hores and wings and more like a demon, than a women who would not be comarnded by a man who was her equal

  • Hotrods & Kustoms are a specialty of mine, so get ready to see a whole LOT more! I L O V E 60’s Cadillac’s, I love em even more when they are 1960-1966, this one being a ‘64. Even more when they are lowered with painted wheels, have Lake Pipes, and wide whitewalls! Welcome to the West Side Sinners Kar Klub, hailing from Denver, Colorado, and bring you more hair grease than a can of 40 weight motor oil! I saw this in front of their shop with a few of their other rides and had to stop, it was mandatory. No one around at all, I started shooting away…was kinda nice not having to worry about a ton of people at a car show for once. The building in the background which you will see in upcoming shots, provided a nice authentic backdrop as well. Processed from RAW in Lightroom, then onwards to PS and LucisArt. —-John
