  • I am not a teapot
    by Philip Rogan

Luck runs out of my spout

For the six words group this is my contribution after passing over “deal in jeapordy spots and leopardy”, “lost a deal not a steal” and in frustration “please drop dead or give head” which must make a nasty t-shirt at some point. Basically though; born out of the frustration of a deal starting to look like its on the edge of a non-starter after lots of time and effort. / That said the six words have an open interpretation, could be good luck or bad luck and running out of one’s spout could be both a good thing or a bad thing again depending on which type of luck and whether its giving or simply pouring away. Also depends on whats your spout? Price is high to compensate for lack of income on deal gone awry. Please buy at least two copies of everything.

  • Ode to my coffee cup
    by JaneH

Ah, a moment to sit, / To smell the brew steaming from my cup. / To halt and let thoughts of nothing hold sway

Timmes ode to coffee reminded me of this little piece that I wrote many years ago, I was trying to get across how sometimes when you have a cup of coffee it is a moment fro you to not to have to do anything and just savour the smell and taste of the coffee… Of course so many years ago it was instant coffee too! Here’s to that morning hit!
