I did this painting over a year ago when I was going through some rough times and just needed to do something directly out of my head without making a pencil sketch first. This is one of three paintings that came out of that time. I’ve reduced this one in size for inclusion on Red Bubble. / 14×7” Acrylic painting on canvas.

One of many Cucumber blooms on the single plant in our garden. The flowers are a huge 6 inches long. I used Selective coloring, added Paintshop flowers to the outside and the Redfield fractalius. Also used pink rope to frame the flower! These are big goofy looking flowers, lol.

I recently made a delicious Greek salad, with lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, red onion, black olives, cubed feta cheese, anchovies, sliced peperoncinis too! tossed lightly with a lemon juice and olive oil dressing, I enjoyed eating, and I really enjoyed painting it.

I spotted this Spotted Cucumber Beetle on a daylily. It seemed to be right at home on the bright petal.

Watched this little guy for about 5 minutes. He was all over the place. I think he was scoping out the rose bushes. They are only a foot away from this blade of grass.

We have this plant in our garden and are amused on a daily basis as we watch it grow, climb and grab the other plants for a spot closer to the sun! As is…..........very unusual for me, lol. Redlands, California. /

Don’t you just hate it when you chop off a finger tip while carelessly slicing cucumbers? Yeah, me too….. I was experimenting with glow stick fluid which is the ‘blood’ in this shot. The scene is lit with green and blue LED light. No, the finger is not a real….it is plastic toy for little girls to put on there fingers to look like they have been painted…. straight out of the camera with no editing or post processing.
