Swisher did not agree with the council and ignoring their findings, decided to free the Crozog and her cub. After all, what harm could there really be. Old Whisper face in the council probably made up most of what he had heard anyway… I was playing with pencil concept sketches of vistas monsters and high speed movement, when this image took shape. I loved “Flip McCoy the Rocket boy”, as a child and Swisher was inspired by my early memories of this boy with a rocket belt.

Two Polar Bear Cubs relaxing. / Never forget: SAVE THE POLAR BEARS, TRY TO STOP THE GLOBAL WARMING! BUY PRINTS, SAVE ANIMALS. / 50 % of my profits of sold prints will go directly into a our national animal shelter “garden eden” which doesn’t have enough money. The Polititions think that we need a new soccer stadium instead of a good animal shelter. Poor animals are starving and dying, but thank god, we have a new soccer stadium. / Help me to help those poor animals. Thank you very much.
I’ll be totally honest! This was a great moment, ruined by the enclosure wires. So when all else fails – turn it into a painting! ;o) Yenna and cub, Marwell Zoo, Hampshire, England.

last sunday was in cades cove in the great smoky mountains. came upon a bear jam (everyone stops in middle of road and gets out of car to check out bear!) / this Huge mama was with one of her cubs, along side the road / she found this stump, and didnt really care we all were fairly close, she was after the termites. / unfortunately for her, she has been tagged twice, due to humans causing her to react. if she goes after another and the park finds out…they will kill her. / its time the humans are held accountable for their actions towards these animals, after all we are in Their Home, not our’s. as much as i hated to do it, i did have to lighten this up some due to some dense woods and a cloudy day, im still sick about it! lol
This is Vishnu the Snow Leopard when he was a youngster, just flaking out after a session of tormenting his mother. Below is a shot of how he looks a few months on…
OK, so just to clarify. The foreground and background really is snow! The foreground is a rock that they are partially lying behind, and the rock is covered with snow! Can you see it? See my profile for more information. / / Registered charity 216032 (England & Wales) SC037529 (Scotland) and follow LR’s brand guidelines This is still a youngster as you may see from his eyes which have not turned fully brown. Foxes are born with very dark brown/black fur and blue eyes. This is for the purpose of camouflage as they stay in their den the first few weeks of their lives. Slowly the fox coat will turn that familiar red and the eyes turn brown. Nikon D200 / Nikkor 70-300mm VR / F5.6 1/200

The Cheetah The fastest land animal in the world, the cheetah is a marvel of evolution. The cheetah’s slender, long-legged body is built for speed. Cheetahs are tan in color with black spots all over their bodies. They can also be distinguished from other big cats by their smaller size, spotted coats, small heads and ears and distinctive “tear stripes” that stretch from the corner of the eye to the side of the nose. Found mostly in open and partially open savannah, cheetahs rely on tall grasses for camouflage when hunting. They are diurnal (more active in the day) animals and hunt mostly during the late morning or early evening. Only half of the chases, which last from 20-60 seconds, are successful. Cheetahs knock their prey to the ground and kill with a suffocating bite to the neck. They must eat quickly before they lose the kills to other bigger or more aggressive carnivores. Cheetahs are also typically solitary animals. While males sometimes live with a small group of brothers from the same litter, females generally raise cubs by themselves for about a year. Height 2 ½ -3 feet at shoulders / Length 44-53 inches (tail length of 26-33 inches) / Weight 110-140 pounds Top Speed 70mph Lifespan 10-12 years Diet Gazelles, wildebeest calves, impalas and smaller hoofed animals Threats The cheetah’s future is uncertain due to a variety of threats. The biggest is habitat loss due to human encroachment. In addition, they often deal with declines in prey and conflicts with humans. There is also high cub mortality due to predation by carnivores like lions and hyenas that are in competition with the cheetah, as well as genetic inbreeding which leads to abnormalities. ””EYE CONTACT”” was featured in Eye Macros
