  • And so the fortunate star / does rise high / above the shadow of hiding And so i find The light of me by Leni Kae This piece asks you very simply to find the light within you. It tells of the need to awaken your inner light and find peace in the realization that your hopes and dreams are your guiding force. Remember to find balance between your two sides: the masculine and the feminine, the strong and delicate, and embrace both sides to achieve your vision. Allow your raw passion to flow and fuel your motivations. For more information on Colour Science, consult Leni Kae. • I am going to try and do some experimentation in photo – shop. This is my first attempt and I’m dedicating it to Georges Braque who was born on May 13 in 1882. He grew up near Paris, and in 1902 he settled there to study painting. He really liked pictures by the fauves who painted with bright colors and unstructured forms. He painted in those styles until 1908. In 1908 Braque began to paint in the Cubist Style. Between 1908 and 1913 he began to study light and perspective. He used his studies to use shading of a cube to make it look both flat and three-dimensional at the same time. I have used different painting and then processed them in photo -shop. This is number 1 in the series. Music

  • Acrylic painting developed from analytical moment (its an upside down version of the original). This painting was developed from a series of drawings of a stool that was wrapped in paper and tied with string. Many drawings of the original stool, many drawings of the wrapped stool and lots of processing. I called this work Metamorphosis as it reminded me of the journey the caterpillar takes turning into the moth or butterfly and the many hazards it faces. The many layers and complexities of such an amazing journey. Featured Home Page Redbubble

  • Nothing depressing…was just singing along with Peggy Lee: Oh, no. Not me. I’m in no hurry for that final disappointment. / For I know just as well as I’m standing here talking to you, / when that final moment comes and I’m breathing my last breath, I’ll be saying to myself, Is that all there is, is that all there is / If that’s all there is my friends, then let’s keep dancing / Let’s break out the booze and have a ball / If that’s all there is

  • You can take a kitty out of the jungle, but seldom can you take the jungle out of the kitty. This is a portrait of my cat Yikes. He reigned as royalty and yet much to his chagrin, his dinner came out of a box. So at mealtime, under all his purple robes of dignity, he would disguise himself in the shape of a food bowl, and proceed to hunt and overtake every morsel, affording them little hope of escape. As you can see he was an over achiever! Cubism provides the perfect framework and logic, to this cat’s peculiar contortions, along with dark cool blues and purple to reflect his uniquely kingly attitude. About this Original: sold / Size: 11×11 / Sub strait: 140 lb Bristol Vellum / Media: Color pencil, and marker / Style: Modern Cubism, abstract, representational

  • I’ve always thought that Modigliani’s portrayal of people was unique (proto-cubist?), so here is my homage to him in Jeanne H. Sketched and painted in Corel Painter with my own colour palette. Featured in Digital Brushstrokes group.

  • The Kamikaze Kitty. Hot on the trail of what? A dust bunny? a mouse? Who knows, but this much we can tell he is focused and intent on conquering. Able to leap a carpet in a single bound he is set airborne, into a dreamlike sky of vivid blue, and flashing yellow stars. Is that a twinkle in his eye? He must be close to conquest! This piece is done an 140lb smooth bristol with color pencils and metallic markers.
