/ “Phew! Thank goodness I caught up with you; I thought I’d missed the mail run.” Akkermesh grinned with relief as he skilfully flipped his letters into the snail box. Another gentrime, would have been too long to wait for the return trip. “You are lucky, slurped the snail, another three pecsureps and I would have been through the gap. Many Red orbits to wait for my return, had you not caught me in time.” In ages past, on their once unpolluted crystal planet, Kryx, communications had advanced from wires to wireless over a few short gentrimes. Scientific developments soon allowed sub-atomic particle encoding quark transfer possible. Nothing faster, or more reliable than transfer at thought speed, they had surmised. It even made light, pedestrian by comparison. They were correct regarding the speed, but quite wrong re the reliability. Then, quite by accident, they stumbled upon snail mail….:)

This is a montage of a landscape shot of power lines in Merced county CA, Obsidian, and Crystal. My intent was for this to be a bit futuristic and otherworldly…....as the search for more power for the world continues….....Edited with PhotoImpact11. / / / _ / All The Materials Contained May Not Be Reproduced, Copied, Edited, Published, Transmitted Or Uploaded In Any Way Without My Permission. I took this shot of a Dandelion in my front yard. I have been waiting for one to pop up so I could take a photo of it because I have seen so many unbelievable shots of them on RedBubble already.. I also have a shot where the Dandelion is centred in the image, but I have been told that the subject of a shot shouldn’t be centred, so here this one is! / Thanks for looking

Indiana Jones is just a fanciful story that people love to flock to see. When I generated the raw image with Apophysis, I could not resist the artistic value of the image, so here it is. I used a combination of images, modified with HDR Photomatrix, enhanced with Paintshop Pro and Micrografx. I have watched the various shows about crystal skulls and found them interesting, but I go along with what Wikpedia says about them: “The crystal skulls are a number of human skull models fashioned from blocks of clear or milky quartz crystal rock, claimed to be pre-Columbian Mesoamerican artifacts by their alleged finders. However, none of the specimens made available for scientific study were authenticated as pre-Columbian in origin, and in the opinion of the contemporary mainstream scientific community they were manufactured in the mid-19th century or later, almost certainly in Europe. Despite some claims presented in an assortment of popularising literature, legends of crystal skulls with mystical powers do not figure in genuine Mesoamerican or other Native American mythologies and spiritual accounts.” / Wikpedia Images Do Not Belong To The Public Domain.
