For the Rusty, Crusty and Falling to Bits Group / / They don’t come much more rusty and crusty than this. / / U-534, a German type IXC/40 submarine was sunk by Allied forces in 1945. 48 years later, in 1993, she was raised from the seabed between Denmark and Sweden. Couple of weeks ago I met up with Shaun Whiteman at Fleetwood Marsh nature reserve which lies along banks of the river Wyre estuary, apart from being a bird spotters paradise it is also a wreck spotters paradise for folks like me, it has a large clump of old fishing boat wrecks and is also dotted with them in the area, fantastic, Shaun wanted to see this place so brought him along to see.. / 5 shot HDR tonemapped image using photomatix and photoshop / Shot with a Nikon D300 and Sigma 10-20mm lens. /
