  • Port Adelaide, South Australia. One day in March we took our kids on one of the Dolphin cruises, it was a really hot day. We are in winter at the moment so this is a little inspiration for what we have to look forward to in a few months time. this one was straight out of the camera, no cropping, no super duper improvements.

  • I love ships of all kinds, but especially sailing ships. This is the German barque “Gorch Fock” at the entrance to Halifax Harbour, Nova Scotia, during the Tall Ships Festival in July, 2007. Taken with a Sony DSCF828 camera. The ship is a training vessel for the German Navy and does extensive cruises worldwide.   • Featured on Red Bubble Home Page on Mothers day 2009 this is my mom… and that is you know who.. her great grand child :))))))))))))) on the cruise to Mexico.. the amazing thing is that this is one in a series of the sweetest looks and hugs between them.. we were entertained and were just awwwwwing.. it was so spontaneous and sweet. / and!! this is one of my faves. it makes it double extra special because it was the day of my moms birthday of 83 years in 2007.. which is why we went on a cruise . all of us sisters. were there. and she got to go to the place of her dream since childhood.. This is considered the largest cruise ship to have ever come into Victoria. It’s a large ship but it really didn’t seem any larger then any other, just a thought.   • Captured this image aboard the Cruiseship “Valor”, during a 7 day Western Caribbean Cruise. Some of the ships’ interior was quite interesting and warranted a few photo sessions. This is a 15 second exposure of some empty barstools, shot from the floor with camera angled upwards. Image made with tripod mounted Nikon D300 and Nikkor 18-70mm lens. The image itself has been run through ReDynaMix for an HDR “feel”, then converted to B&W, then with several layers gradually punched through the layers to achieve the selective coloring on the barstools from the original color HDR image. / Please view in Large to see all of the detail ….

  • This beautiful tall ship when not cruising around Sydney Harbour can be found moored at Cockatoo Island. Built in 1922 in Denmark of Danish oak frames, Svanen traded as a grain carrier between Denmark and Greenland for the Tuborg Beer Company until 1969. She was purchased in 1969 as a private vessel and extensively refitted to make extensive ocean voyages, including service as a sail trainng vessel with the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets. Svanen participated in the 1982 Tall Ships Race from Philadelphia to Portugal. In 1986 after appearing at the World Expo in Vancouver, Svanen sailed to England to join the Australian Bicentenuial First Fleet Re-Enactment for the historic voyage to Sydney.
