This is one of the cats from the SPCA shoot as well. I was playing with cropping and I cropped this REALLY tight as you can see and I think it looks pretty good, I was fighting myself between the white or the black border but I think the white makes the crop more dramatic.
Took what I thought was a nice view of grass blowing in the winter wind.
This image is part of Erin’s challange here / This is one of my favorite images because it brings back fond memories of my childhood. / When I grew up, I lived in a nice neighborhood, mostly composed of middle to upper middle class families. Just before my teen years, my family bought a farm. From that day forward, we were out on the farm hoeing blue grass, driving either our large tractor (case) or the smaller Ford, driving combine and driving truck. I could barely reach the pedals on most of the equipment (I had to sit way forward in the seat to drive the trucks). / This old Ford tractor was one I spent hundreds of hours on. Discing, plowing, mowing and cultivating among other things. I used to come back from the fields looking like one big dust ball. / That is why this image is so important to me. It helps relive some of my best (and worst) childhood memories.

Second in a series featuring the color blue…
A lady out watering the crops on the way back from Ha Long Bay to Hanoi. Was taken out the side of the bus window on a horribly bumpy road so is not as sharp as i would like but I’ll take what I can get. Unfortunately travelling in a group restricts the amount of stops a long the way :( Taken with a Canon 400D at 75mm, 1/2000 sec @ f 4, ISO 400 Cropped in Lightroom for a tighter non distracting composition

I feel privileged to have such beautiful open countryside so close to home Panasonic G1 Not up for sale at present, Thinking of entering it into a competition. What a view to have from the back of your workplace :) Haybales beneath Bredon Hill on the border of Worcestershire & Gloucestershire , England. Shot about 7pm after locking up for the night. / I had preyed these bales would stay out in the fields long enough to get some nice light for me to photograph them. It had been pretty overcast all afternoon so I was overjoyed to lock up and find the fields lit up with golden sun….especially with that moody sky behind :) (it was so windy during the day that the haybale has actually been blown over!) Canon 400D without tripod! Lee filter and Sigma 10-20mm
There is a big tub under the bird feeder, seeds fall in, some are eaten, but some germinate. It’s exciting watching the tiny shoots and trying to guess what is growing. One year I grew brassicas which attracted white butterflies to lay eggs, wonderful photo opportunities. Last year I grew corn. This year weird green spikey things, maybeTriffids, and 2 lovely Sunflowers, popular now with insects, later the birds will feed on the seed heads in my York garden. 090909 / Sony H9 crop pf / 090909 This sky where we live / Is no place to lose your wings. / So love, love, love. / Hafiz حافظ Human beings are members of a whole, / In creation of one essence and soul. / If one member is afflicted with pain, / Other members uneasy will remain. / If you have no sympathy for human pain, / The name of human you cannot retain. / Saadi “Of one Essence is the human race, / thus has Creation put the base; / One Limb impacted is sufficient / For all Others to feel the Mace ” / —Saadi (1184–1283) “There is only one sacred manuscript, the sacred manuscript of Nature, which alone can enlighten the reader.” Hazrat Inayat Khan “I cannot think that we are useless or God would not have created us.
