  • Another in the farm days series. All shot in black and white

  • Crops at sunset

  • The field is sprouting green as the winter snow melts and the plants reach upward to the sky, surrounding a forgotten barn.

  • 11”x15” watercolor on 140lb. w/c paper depicting blue jay on a spring blossoming apple tree limb. I had 6 bearing apple trees in my front yard during the 70s and 80s and I can tell you from experience that Blue Jays are an apple grower’s worst enemy. They never take a bite from the same apple twice. This scan leaves something to be desired. As you can see it is pieced together from 2 scans and is much paler than the original. Although photoshop software programs can darken colors they usually distort them when doing so. I will reload this when I get a good photo of it.

  • fields of canola in PEI

  • There’s something about having a 16-foot hand of God in your backyard that gives you a new perspective every day :) Oil pastels and spray paint on concrete wall during August 2007 (about 110 degrees in the desert). I had to use ice water to keep the pastels from melting. What a mess.

  • A low viewpoint highlights this rapeseed crop against a vivid blue sky

  • Watercolor 18×26 on 300lb CP paper

  • Cropped version of encontrar su sombra

  • This was taken on Rt. 347 in New Jersey on the way to Wildwood with a Pentax PAS.

  • Maize field with crop partially harvested, Orne, Normandy, France

  • Potato plants paint the landscape with white and pink and white dabs at this farm in the rural Vancouver Metro area. Westham Island, BC, 23 Jul 2009. Canon Rebel XSi (450D) / Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L USM / 1/200, f/8, -1/3, ISO 200, 200mm, hand held

  • This photo is from Drumheller Alberta. I was driving along and noticed this amazing blue hue against the hay field as the storm approached. I liked the colours mostly. A few minutes after this was taken, it poured rain. This was shot on film and scanned, so the film grain is visible.

  • A lovely field of Canola

  • These corn stalks stand tall in a field in Hamilton County, Indiana and wait for the farmer to harvest them. They dry up as the longer they wait.
