This old man has leprosy; a desiese that attacks the nerves so that when you cut or burn yourslf you can’t even feel it. His fingers are now just stubs, and his leg is now plastic due to the years of it getting whittled down.

Fast-moving coronal display in Cripple Creek subdivision, Fairbanks AK.
Vie from just below the summit boulder blocks of Sentinel Point, which at 12,499 is the highest sub peak on the Pikes Peak massif. Pike National Forest, Colorado. The view is west toward Florissant, lake George, Guffey, and the spine of the continent, the Mosquito and Sahwatch Ranges.
This picture is close to my heart… See the guy walking with support… but see his WILL to walk… Does he really need anyone to support him??? NO… His inner strength and Faith are enough to carry him anywhere… And second thing is… he is walking opposite the flow… He is not handicap… He is the man of Inspiration to me…
Before I ‘went bush’ I lived in a secure apartment in one of the worst areas of Adelaide. To my dismay I learned that elderley and crippled blind men were easy targets for the gangs that roam the streets after dark; and even more alarmingly during the day. This painting is how I began to see my fellow inhabitants of the City, both real and in my Nightmares. Call me a cowardly custard if you will, and paranoid, but I opted out, and I can now go to bed without barring my doors, or living in fear ( apart from the denizens of my dreams ). I’m afraid the more genteel times I grew up in are no more, and it’s a shame. This painting is 70 cm x 100 cm on primed board, and was painted with Acrylics.

Considering using this as a t-shirt design, but a little worried if it’s covered by fair use. The image itself was drawn from scratch, only the “Cookie Monster” and his strange obsession aren’t mine. Now better cropped and colour adjusted.
Everyone’s favourite sugar addict finally has his number one vice catch up with him.
