Layers of Deception
by DamianThe shadows concealed her form, and it appeared to the man as if the face of a deranged Cheshire cat hovered in the night.
While this story was written as a stand alone piece, it also accidentally became a sequel to an earlier story Improvisational Killing. I didn’t mean it to, and I sort of feel bad for the character. Oh yes, contains some violence.

I did this when I was teaching youth-at-risk and got my students to ‘tag’ it. / It’s about how young people are dazzled by the lights then end up in the back alleys. Our program was to guide them in a positive manner through ART then take their discipline, confidence, talent, skills aquired to finishing what they left behind or lost. Majority who finished the course of 8 months went on to finsih their high school, entered Unversity or some college. These were tough street ‘kids’ who had talent in Art but never realized what they had; something that made them special and unique.
