This was taken on my way down from a long scramble up to Treasure Lakes, Little Lakes Valley, Eastern Sierra. It was raining a little here and there but I kept going because I’m not one to turn back once I’m 5 miles into a hike. Luckily the clouds began to break and it became a beautiful afternoon in the end.

One of my favorite hikes in the Eastern Sierras is through Little Lakes Valley. The trail follows Rock Creek to its source high in the mountains and continues on to connect with other trails. This was taken near the Mosquito Flats Trailhead in late summer. I still caught a few wildflowers in bloom since the valley is so lush.

As the name suggests, this stand of aspen is at the Jack’s Creek recreation area (elevation: 8900 feet) in the Pecos Wilderness, north of Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA. Pentax K110D at F9.5, 1/350.

Just going through some old shots and came across this shot , which was taken last year down south at Bunker Bay in Dunsbrough Western Australia early one morning . Was an 8 image stitch came out at over 120cm wide at 320DPI . Other news I picked up my Canon 5DMKII the other day and new Canon L 24-70mm F2.8 Lens . This is our son Billy and his girlfriend Bobbie below crabtree falls. I really like the way this came out, considering they had to stay extremly still through a 3.2sec shutter setting. This wonderful little pool of water is located on mineral creek in the pisgah national forest very close to our home. While driving through Current Creek to look at fall colors I stumbled upon some horses in this beautiful setting. They were so isolated the horses were happy to see people and came right over to say hi. Me and my wife spent some time feeding them some food that was left on the opposite side of the fence.
