This is one of many faces Yukon Skies take. The whole sky was as red as red can be. It was beautiful… There are the original colors… no modifications made here.

My origami calendar I used tweezers to create the last few folds. The paper I folded with was about 15×15mm big. Basically I present the creator and the creation where the crane is framed by my fingers forming a circle. We can only understand size, fragility and significance when we compare two things. When we think, for example, how big the world is, we’re like tiny little specks of sand, or even atoms, to the eyes of a God holding the earth in his palm. / / For a better idea of scale: / / / I did not make this crane and take the picture with the description in my mind; but created it by instinct. It wasn’t easy drawing out my words initially. However many viewers have left very inspiring comments about my work, and for that I am grateful. I was thinking of Julie Langford’s dear mother as I worked on this image, and I kept thinking how we all must undergo metamorphosis as we make the transition from this world where light is exterior to the next world where the interior light of our Maker can finally show through when we shed our caterpillar casing and spread our butterfly wings in the new life.
Nurble was your normal nervous Nurblet, but even Nurble’s nervousness was needless. The numerous gnoshing Neblums that normally nourished on the Nurblets hadn’t been noticed in nearly nine years. Nevertheless the Neblums were nowhere near extinct, just nearby napping. The Neblums napped and napped, never waking until nearly a decade elapsed, but then watch out….
It’s absolutely mind-boggling to look at the diversity, the complexity, and the breathtaking beauty of nature. With a phrase borrowed from the great hymn, when I consider all God has made, I should drop to my knees in awe and gratitude before His Majesty. This image began as a shot of an exotic butterfly in an exhibit, and with some work in PhotoShop emerged into my humble rendition of one of the zillions of miracles that come to us from the mind and heart of God.
Atsá – Eagle Eagle, the master of the sky, is considered a carrier of prayers. Many Indian Nations honor this bird as possessing courage, wisdom, and a special connection to the creator. This is often confused with the “thunderbird” image concept. Eagle is also a Directional Protector(the Sky) spirit, and an image associated with spirits and visions. My depiction represents three Bald Eagles circling about the Sun, here symbolized by the sacred Zia (Zia Pueblo word for ‘Sun’). Its rays marking the four directions; in the year, with its four seasons; in the day, with the sunrise, noon, evening, and night; in life, with its four divisions—childhood, youth, manhood, and old age. Everything is bound together in a circle of life and love, without beginning, without end.

A common sight among petroglyphs is the human hand connoting the presence of man, his work, his acheivements, his legacy. It also represents the direction of the creative spirit through a man, as a vessel for the Creator’s power.

Zia Keresean (language of the Zia Pueblo [and other Keres pueblos] in New Mexico) for Sun. New Mexico’s distinctive insignia is the Zia (Sun) Symbol, which originated with the Indians of Zia Pueblo (north central New Mexico) in ancient times. Its design reflects their tribal philosophy, with its wealth of pantheistic spiritualism teaching the basic harmony of all things in the universe. Four is the sacred number of Zia, and the figure is composed of a circle from which four points radiate. These points made up of four straight lines of varying length personify the number most often used by the Giver of all good gifts. To the Zia Indian, the sacred number is embodied in the earth, with its four directions; in the year, with its four seasons; in the day, with the sunrise, noon, evening, and night; in life, with its four divisions—childhood, youth, manhood, and old age. Everything is bound together in a circle of life and love, without beginning, without end. The Zia believe, too, that in this great brotherhood of all things, man has four sacred obligations: he must develop a strong body, a clear mind, a pure spirit, and a devotion to the welfare of his people. This is the symbol which adorns the flag of New Mexico.
The sacred spiral indicates renewal and cycles of life. Sun, center of the spiral, is the Giver of Life and Warmth and all that is good. Eagle, divine spirit, chief of all the creatures in the air, the primary servant of the sun. Powerful in battle, the eagle protects the people from evil. Eagle medicine attributes include clear vision and soaring spirit. The eagle is associated with success, prosperity and wealth. Circular feather arrangements are found on pottery, in masks, prayer fans, dance costumes and on Plains “war bonnets” They are also used in decoration on buffalo hide “counts”, or story depictions in paint recounting war honors, times of historic contact and other important periods of time. In a circular arrangement, they are related to the sun, and therefore, to the Creator.
As I walk this Native American path of the “Good Red Road” / I awaken to say good morning to Grandfather Sun, in ode; Gratitudes spoken to the four directions and All Our Relations / Father Sky and Mother Earth, not leaving out any Creations; I raise the pipe high, letting smoke rise to the Spirit, so great / asking for peace and abundance in messages to generate; Towards the “Blue Road to Spirit”, my soul flies high to seek / For my sisters and brothers to thrive whether strong or weak; As Grandmother Moon rises, again I will drum, dance and sing / Until the ways of our ancestors’ prayers are brought upon wings; Proud to be related to the clawed, finned, crawling and standing / my voice will be heard in the stars of great truth and understanding. The Green Man is an ancient pagan symbol of our relationship to the plant kingdom. Men become tree-like, and the Green Man sports plants and leaves and boughs growing from his mouth or beard or his hair. / In the Green Man we have an archetype for our relationship to both the cosmos and the Earth – to Father Sky and Mother Earth. Plants are born from and connect the two. Plants are, like us, cosmic beings; they guarantee that the sun’s generous efforts to pour its energy over the earth are not in vain. The Sun finds ready receptivity in the plants. / Interestingly, the archetype of the Green Man also respects silence and introspection, which are common traits among farmers and indigenous peoples, those who remain close to the land. The Green Man honors for us how rich and deep the roots of nature are, telling us that we need to germinate under the soil, in the silence of our hearts. FIRST THING: IMPORTANT!!! The young man who created this program in Panama needs more money to continue to develop Incendia for us to use. We use it now as a free beta download and that has gotten this incredible program up and running well. But it needs refinement to prevent it from crashing and having other minor problems. That requires money or the creator has to work elsewhere and time to spend developing is lost. I for one believe that my using this free program to try to make money for myself obligates me to at least make a contribution towards using it for free up until now (and maybe very inexpensive in the future). Not only that, I’m asking and hoping to see products directly from using this program tho never asked for a dime for its commercial use. Please visit the Incendia site and make a donation. You’ll be a free upgrade for your efforts and the developer of this awesome little program will be able to keep working out the kinks before making it public in a final stage. Time to do what you can if you love Incendia or fractals in general. Thanks! I gave up on the rendering of this amazing fractal, knowing I could do the final bit of cleaning up with PhotoShop Elements 3. One day I’ll get a dedicated machine that can just do the job for however long it takes and I won’t keep peeking at it like a cake in the oven. LOL! This one came out almost exactly as I wanted it to but it still had the red halo from incomplete rendering so I just used the BACKGROUND ERASER and nuked everything that wasn’t black already. PS did such a fantastic job of it that it took less than 60 seconds to get it perfect and I’ve never used the tool before. Of course, I never read the 300 page 3rd party instruction book either so nothing new there. :-D This creation is about 95% Incendia working on its own. I changed the colours almost randomly, just aiming for bright contrasting ones and I tweaked the shape about 2%. It’s name simply “Incendia” exactly for that reason: this fractal was “right out of the box” and a 3D example of the sheer glory of this unfinished program. I’m suggesting you go ahead and get itnow, for free, even if you don’t install it. I think this program is so good it will cost a lot when it is finished. I’m sure it’s worth it even as it is now. If this fractal doesn’t ‘sell you’, the upcoming ones just might. I’m now planning to do some quick ones straight out of the programming that’s already there: basically nothing but the raw program’s presets. There’s no learning curve to do this and, of course, there’s precious little originality. But Incendia starts out more original than anything else I’ve seen. I think its presets are worth showing off! Graciously featured in the group A Fractal Energy Passion with my thanks! :-D
Tufted titmice, house finches, Carolina chickadees, and cardinals visit my patio feeders regularly and they all love my statue of Jesus where they find a resting place in their busy little lives. This is the bird version of the Garden of Eden with flowers which I posted earlier. Thanks to all the flower lovers who commented about that collage; I appreciate it and am offering this one for bird lovers.
My five year old grandson watched me work with Photoshop and asked if I could help him walk on water like Jesus did. This is the best I could do to meet his request. I added a verse from the Psalms to top it all off.
Another view of Genesis.
Image created for and inspired by a vision shared with me by my spirit sister POLLY PEACOCK whose writing accompanies this collaboration, along with our shared favorite song… Wakan Tanka – O Great Mystery – ENIGMA I hold up my maker, to walk when my Maker no longer can, because we both must continue to walk the walk. / I convey words with images of honesty, truth and pride, because they must be shared. / I wear colors of the four corners to honor the coming of Mother Earth’s seasons and many and varied reasons. / I carry a sacred White Wankan Tanka to help me receive visions out of pure necessity. / I am made from an old Sycamore Tree, which speaks tales of old, just as my Maker does. / I have a limb that was torn and broken when my Maker made me; this represents my Maker’s honor of imperfection and humility; I was mended to represent the love and healing that my Maker carries for others. / I am filled with knots, which represent life’s many imbalances; this is so that my Maker may seek harmony in order to live contentedly with frequent imbalances. / I have been woven, braided and wrapped with valued leather and branches from a Weeping Willow Tree; this is to protect my Maker’s inner child and to honor the sacred animals that perished before my Maker and me; the sanctity and blessings of these animals are never wasted among my Maker’s people. / I am hand painted and untouched by a pen or pencil; these were once the most formidable weapons of my Maker’s Ancestors and Elders. / I carry feathers of the Bald Eagle, Goose, Peacock, Doves, and many other winged creatures to remind my Maker to fly high and rise above all storms, to swim with great speed, to honor Grandfather’s teachings and to live for inner peace; these are the things that my Maker shares with those beings who are willing to accept them. / My feathers are proudly decorated with beads of Mother Nature to represent my Maker’s love and respect for all of Daughter Earth’s treasured gems. / I am thrust up into the air by my Maker’s right arm, straight and tall; my Maker cries a primal scream for Creator to send the bright light of the Universe to heal those who are in pain; my Maker then welcomes the light from Creator, who ignites Father Sun, Mother Moon to illuminate and bathe Daughter Earth to spread sacred light; this healing also provides my maker with spirit, innocence, wisdom, integrity, humility and purity; this is one of many visions that my Maker’s sees, feels, trusts and believes. / I wear a broad smile; my Maker cherishes laughter medicine as one of the finest of all. / I dance ritual dances with my Maker; my Maker feels the rhythm of the drums and the heart and soul of songs sung; this stirs and moves my Maker into thoughtless being. / I touch those who would hurt my Maker to accept a challenge if necessary, but my Maker prefers to restore peace. / I am made from Mother Nature with my Maker’s great respect for Creator’s Universe, Father Sun, Mother Moon and Daughter Earth; this is so all beings can live together as one people. / I stand tall and proud as my Maker gazes into Creator’s Universe, during the darkness of each night, praying for universal love, truth, justice, honor, and peace; I represent my Maker’s respect for the equality, healing and energy of all living things. / I am the Coup Stick of my Maker’s visions and realities, which have been lovingly bestowed upon my Maker, by Creator; this is so that my Maker may continue to walk in peace, while immersed in Father Sun, Mother Moon and Daughter Earth’s beauty. Psalm 8:3 is a wonderful springboard for prayer and praise. “When I consider the work of Your fingers,” the Psalmist writes, and we can take it from there. The Grand Canyon. A bolt of lightning. The peal of thunder. A flower petal. A snowflake. A dewdrop. A cascading waterfall. A baby lamb in spring. A bright red cardinal. . . The signs are everywhere. The Divine Artist has left an endless trail of hints that lead straight to His workshop. How blessed we are! How loved!
