The model behind Ginger is Jamie and we shot for my project “My Blue Jean Jacket”. While shooting some non-jacket wardrobe stuff for my frineds at Road Rash Rubber I kept getting the sense of a name “Ginger”. The images we took are some of the best of my 40 years of holding a camera and you can see the fun Jamie has playing the part. I had not expected the response from posting the few from the shoot that I had gotten which just confirms for me that it truly was a magical moment. I will be working hard to complete the Ginger series and hope to have about 30 origionals ready for the show. The actual show date is TBD and I will release the name of the gallery at a latter day on the Ginger website after the first few are complete. Keep an eye out for Ginger and if you see her… let me know… info@hernamewasginger.com

Origins
by Stephanie Rachel SeelyThis poem is the result of a sort of epiphany I had during the early spring
This poem is the result of a sort of epiphany I had a few weeks ago. While I’ve always held the belief that the universe (and all of life) was not a cosmic accident, but rather a deliberate creation, I have finally figured out why I hold that belief.

a black cat crossed my path
by Carlos SolorzaHe watches every move of her lips / as the words cut through the chains
sometimes our creativity is stiffled, covered by untruths that bind us. / sometimes it takes the vision of another, the freedom in which they express, / to jolt us back into the reality of our imagination.

This is my first attempt at being brave enough to share my writing. I wrote this quite a few years ago when i was incensed by the dehumanisation of people belonging to certain religions that seemed to justify our government dropping bombs on and/or locking up their children. if it seems a bit dry, its because I had planned to send it to a newspaper or something at the time but never found the right sort of opportunity. this is not the style of my fortcoming book, but the themes are fairly similar, ie resilience and fragility

Fellow Bubblers, This is my first attempt to break out of poetry and other forms of creative art into the realm of short stories. Ever since I was a young boy I dreamed of becoming one of two things, the first was an astronaut and the second was a writer. / Since I am much too old to pursue the first, I shall try to achieve the second. I finally mustered enough courage to actually write a short story. Over the years I have written down many idea’s and summaries to short stories I wanted to develop on paper. So here now I ask you all for your help, I need you my peers to critique my work, give me constructive criticism and to let me know, do I give up my dream or do I show a tiny spark of talent as to continue on. You see I have built a literal well of plots, idea’s, and summaries of which I can draw from to quench my thirst for writing. But what good would it be if my writing does not please the reader, bring some enjoyment into their life. Then I would be wasting my time and theirs. So I ask you to let me know in the kind and considerate way I know redbubblers do,what you think of my first creative writing. Thank you all, / Michael
