After a very long winter (so far) I needed something that sang Spring time is just around the corner! After a lot of fuss, and several hours, in Photoshop and Painter X this is the final result. Every pixel of this piece was re-painted (digitally) by hand. All of the apple blossoms and leaves were created from scratch. As a final touch I added some texture to the piece to give it that last little edge I was looking for. Photoshop Design – For this creation I used one of my pictures from a small bushland near by and I tried to draw a face from a wolf. I mirrored the left side :) To get these grungy effects with colors I used a couple of textures, gradients, filters, blend modes and layer styles. Digital fine art photo painting of a little country girl admiring the beauty of a single bloom in a wildflower field. Featured in Digital Brushstrokes, October 9, 2009. This digital art consists of 4 layered images from my personal library, including one texture layer. The little girl’s hair was created from scratch and then the entire piece was digitally painted in Corel Painter X using a Wacom tablet prior to adding additional texture & a subtle posterizing filter in Photoshop. This image consists of 2 layers combined in photoshop and completely painted in painter x using the wacom tablet. The owl is an original image that i photographed Nov 01/09 at Presqui’le Provincial Park. The background was kindly donated for my use by my daughter Renee as we both searched for just the right background for this lovely Barred Owl. /
