It occured to me that if I leave one more comment on Lindsay Blamey’s work he will almost definitely think I am stalking him… hang on… this is probably worse. whoops. Anyway, I am just beside myself loving his latest series. Talk about being the absolute master of creating a whole world and story outside an image! This is my latest creation, made for my gorgeous daughter Issy for her 21st birthday started in June 2006 and finished July 2008. Too remind her of her mum who misses her terribly since she left for the UK, a year ago to follow her dreams.

This is, and is not, a fractal piece Which is to say that it is, in fact, several fractal pieces, one made by Corel Art and others of my own initiative, which were used to create a larger piece courtesy of Corel Photo Paint 6 and it’s lovely Fill tool, masks, text function, etc. The name of the piece was set quite some time before I joined Red Bubble, so that it resembles the group name is pure coincidence!

This old door was photographed in Poiana Brashov in Romania, a place that experiences extremes of weather in the winter. The door was so weathered and rustic that it just looked amazing- such a beautiful blend of colours combined some really interesting textures. It was a piece of art in itself- A masterpiece of natures forces.
