  • Mixed Media – pencil, conte crayon and ink on paper.

  • think creative and the rest will follow

  • This was made by my 6 year old daughter Morgan. All I added was her name and the black border. She takes after her mom and loves being creative and artistic. I should post some of her jewelry she has made. She is still too young for me to teach her how to solder but she is great with bead work already. Can you tell I’m proud…lol

  • 6” square, colored Conte crayon on Hahnemuhle velour board. A small blue bird, an Indigo Bunting, perches fluffed up against the cold on a vertical large sapling while a heavier branch angles to the side and small bare winter branches cross a cold gray sky. Detailed and accurate to species and habitat, this is one of my best nature pieces and I’ve used it as an icon on some websites as the composition’s strong enough to show up even thumbnailed very small. I’m very fond of this piece and not sure if the original will ever be for sale.

  • Completed 2004 age 18 medium: crayon washed over with watercolor

  • exponential vision

  • graphite and crayon on paper

  • Pavement artist / Trafalgar Square / London 2/8/08

  • While it is signed, I never considered this at all finished. This is for Byronanarchy, who has consented to be my co-host twice over, and whom, for whatever the reasons, loves the look of rather unfinished pieces. Hand done, no digital anything except it was scanned. Made mostly with marker, but also ink, crayon; and, of course, paper. No model, no inspiration except the moment and the impetus of creation.

  • My submission to the Canon Photo5 crayon entry

  • Just something a little different. I have never really played with noise. I don’t really like the look of it in most images. However I thought I would fiddle around with it and see what I could produce.

  • See Wall Art or Printable Coloring-in art here This tee is pledged to the Wildlife Renewal Appeal re: Australia’s bush fires. / Dayonda 22:34 2/20/2009 US Pacific Time Here is a mere idea of something to do with the shirt. Do it at your own risk. I will say I did it hundreds of times as a kid. It was my fav medium until I got into high school and forgot my old fav in learning new favs. P.S.: / Here’s a trick I learned as a kid: Follow the directions at your own risk, and never turn away from kids doing this. Buy the Owl on a white or very light colored shirt. Color in the blank spaces with regular Crayola type wax crayons. When finished, place several paper towels inside the shirt, under the colored area, and, if you have any, use waxed paper under your iron on a low setting to melt the color into your tee. If no waxed paper, use more paper towels and don’t “skate” the iron, but place it, hold it for 1, 2, 3 seconds, and move to another section. Replace the paper towels and press again two or three times. Rinse carefully in cold water, then “pickle” with cold water, salt and vinegar overnight or so to “set” the dye. Wash it separately, on cold, and hang it to dry. Never trust it with your other whites, nor in the dryer. You’ve now made an alternate style batik where the wax carries the color instead of blocking the color. Good luck, and listen carefully: I’m not responsible if you muck it up! I’m just telling you what I used to do as a kid. And REMEMBER, you may color it in or not as you like, but it’s still my copyright. Please don’t copy or otherwise step over the coypright line. -=DS

  • Conte Crayon on Cartridge Paper

  • Greeting card created with the poor mans encaustic, / melted crayon, by my eleven year old son Fabian. / I just scanned it and cleaned it up, he’s messy. :-D / Title: Alien with Boxing Gloves Playing the Cello’, / Fabe’s into boxing. Bright, Fun, Abstract. May be / used for any fun occassion or as a rather / sophisticated fun note card.

  • In between art….. I did this quick “doodle” to get some sort of inspiration. ☺ Black paper. Wax crayons.

  • My mind was taken during editing, to a flower form, then I had another play, and came up with swirls – which, when inverted, reminded me of waterfowl, such as geese, ducks and swans. Needing something to look at, I pasted in the flower idea upside down, where I thought it looked like a jellyfish or some distant planet…....better leave the booze alone – I don’t drink often – now I remember why…....

  • Like Salmon moving upstream to breed, the multicoloured crayonfish hold station in the stream, feeding only on coloured paper which lands on the surface…........
