Taken again in America..actually at the pool side at the hotel… The pool was on the 30th floor.. who knows how it got up there..
One of Perth’s most photographed waterscape. The best photographs tend to be those unplanned moments that don’t come along all to often, when mother nature and timing cross paths. As Ansell Adam said: ””A good photograph is knowing where to stand”” but I think it is also knowing…when. I think I was extremely luck to catch this moment, as I have seen hundreds of photos of this place, but I think I have captured the amazing symmetry that the nature hides most of the time.

A photo taken yesterday just after sunset, I used an ND8 Grad, ND8 and a Circ Polariser, no photoshop save for the cropping. White balance set low on the camera to enhance the blue tones. This shot is a 13 second exposure at f8 All comments appreciated - paul / http://www.paulmp.com.au / http://www.paulpichugin.com
This is another shot from the series at Crawley Edge Boatshed. It was so freezing.. I was still just in my shorts and tshirt from the day time, the breeze was insanely cold! All comments appreciated - paul

On the edge of the Swan River in Perth sits the Crawley Edge Boat Shed, it is a popular haunt for local photographers and it is the primary focus in several redbubble photos. The boat shed is thought to have been built in the 1930’s and since than it has changed hands several times. The boat sheds were refurbished in the early 2000’s. There are some brilliant photo’s of the boat shed, this is my take on it, I am sure it would of been done already but there is only a certain number of ways that a single shed on the water can be captured. / I have been in Perth for 25 years, been taking photo’s (not ready to call myself a photographer yet) for 10 months and this is the first time I have been to the river to take photo’s of the shed – at least now I can say it has been done. Colour is as was taken.
We had a very stormy morning the morning I took this series of photos and it resulted in me getting soaked. LOL We had lots of heavy wind, Heavy rain, A few thunderstorms and a Storm surge along the coastline and the Swan river. The historical Crawley Edge boatshed was flooded right up to the pier and the boatshed itself seems to show some damage with a big gap running along the left hand side of the roof as well as the right hand wall. The boatshed was built in the 1930’s and was restored by it’s current owner in the early 2000’s after being in a dilapidated and run down state for many years. EOS 500D.

The sun did manage to come out for a few minutes while I was at the boatshed which resulted in some nice defused early morning light. This visit to the Crawley Edge Boatshed was a total opposite to my last visit a few days earlier, When the waterline was above the jetty leading to the boatshed due to a storm surge which resulted in a unusually high tide, Which is the opposite to the unusually low tides we have had over the last few days. I decided to walk into the river to get a unusual perspective of the boatshed since I thought the water wasn’t to deep, But in the end, I found myself knee deep in the water shooting the boatshed, And once again, Going home soaking wet. This is the smallest thing I have taken a macro of so far, I think its a type of Mosquito, but it was much smaller than one, it was quite difficult to do because its quite transparent. Best viewed LARGE Kwinana Western Australia Olympus E-410
This is a reshoot of an earlier shot, this time with my 5DmkII and 16-35mm. Crawley Edge, Perth, WA I love the clarity and colour in this shot. I have exagerated the blue by adjusting the white balance in the camera. Regards Paul / http://paulmp.com.au
