Dear conscience I’d love a bite of that chocolate bar, I know it’s lent but it looks so creamily delightful… / Maybe if I just smell it, yea! Great idea, that way I can get even more eager to eat it! / Nice sarcasm conscience.. pfff / Stupid stupid, ok …take two. / Maybe I can just… look at it, from five metres away, behind glass, in a box with no key … well, I’d say I could actually hold it, I mean it’s not like I’m going to let it slip into my mouth or anything. / What! Stop looking at me like that! No I’m not paranoid, god! / Maybe I could just lick it. That’s not exactly consuming the thing now is it? / Yea, you are right… DAMN Cadbury! DAMN YOU ALL Just one little nibble wouldn’t hurt me. I mean I have been so good, I haven’t eaten any chocolate in days that can’t be counted on my fingers! My chocolateless fingers. I could eat a chocolate horse right now. Watering mouth does not help. I hope nestlé, and their little buddy old pal melt in the fires of hell. YEA you heard me! O ok , I’m sorry, jeeze conscience, I just want a flake.. what? Fine! A crumb then… dust speckle? / DAMN YOU! / No I mean, lalalala, um.. no I didn’t mean it… / I just want some bloody chocolate, that stuff you used to let me have. I hate this 40 day thing, its so stupid anyway… grrrrr Your ungratefully (ya I did spell it wrong) Z

Woke this morning to discover that my art Constant Craving had been chosen to feature in the wonderful group I have just joined – Music Inspired Art (M.I.A). What a great way to start my day. Starting to get good and worried about said lovely Scotsman, now, as I had waited almost a week (6 days is almost a week!) before writing to him again to ask him how he is. It’s been 2 days since I wrote to him and no response. That’s not so unusual, to get no response; but, also, no one has even checked the email and that is a bit unusual. So, yes – worried, is me! I have fairly well decided that the apple cider vinegar I had been taking, combined with the hot weather, has caused a major flair up of intestinal yeast. I think that’s why I went crazy for candy the other day. I decided that based on rethinking how long it’s been building up, when it really started, etc. Not absolutely sure it was the apple cider vinegar, and certainly there is mixed information as to how good or bad for you it is when you have Fibromyalgia or Yeast Overgrowth or etc. Though no one who advocates it for anything, seems to dspute that it helps with arthritis. I guess if I take it, anymore, it better be with garlic! Finally managed to pare down my arwork in my gallery, through the use of Bulk Editing. I thought it wasn’t working, as it kept telling me the server didn’t respond in time, and all sort of other things; but, in the end, when I checked it, it definitely was whittled down to 4 pages of artwork. So, now, I know I’ll be able to alternate between pieces with only a minimum of bother, and make it a bit easier for people to sort through. Yaye! One thing that confused me is that it had the “Everything” or “Artwork” option; but, in both cases, it only showed the Prints and not the T-shirts or Writing, so, not really sure what they meant by “Everything”. Maybe it means even the stuff that is not showing? No, that can’t be right, as nothing of mine was showing, and it still listed everything both ways. Hmmmm….

/ Snow Carving Festival – a world famous activity in Harbin. Located on the bank of Songhua River, Harbin is the capital and largest city of Helongjiang Province, northeastern China. It has a population around 10 millions with half of that at urban districts. Often nicknamed as “Oriental Moscow” or “Oriental Paris” for the erecting Western architecture at downtown, Harbin grew with the arrival of the far-east Railway, constructed by the Russians in the late 19th century. Flooded by White Russian refugees after 1917, Harbin had one of the largest European populations in East Asia. Most of the Europeans left the city following the rise to power of the Chinese Communists in 1946. In the city, you will see quite a few Western style buildings of Gothic, Baroque and Byzantine architectures built by the Russians and other Europeans. Travelers are faced with frequently cold and inhospitable climates, but comforted by a warm and friendly population, increasing huge and stark skyscrapers, but also winding streets of quaint, colonial architecture, and impressive Siberian Tiger conservation policies that are somewhat offset by hunting grounds where a variety of animals are killed for pleasure. These contradictory scenes continue back in time, so that the history of Harbin is one of turbulence and economic prosperity. Every year starting from January 5 and lasting for one month, it is the Harbin’s Ice and Snow Festiva (since 1985), lots of celebrations will be held during the period. Many tourists from home and abroad come to visit this legendary “Ice City”. Now the Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival has become one of the world’s four largest ice and snow festivals, along with Japan’s Sapporo Snow Festival, Canada’s Quebec City Winter Carnival, and Norway’s Ski Festival. In terms of fun, the best sight to visit in the city proper would have to be the Sun Island Park which, besides relaxation, also houses the Siberia Tiger Park, designed to cultivate and then release these beautiful, endangered beasts back to the wild. There is also the Jile Temple, one of the four largest Buddhist temples in northeast China. Out of town are the more active sights, and many coming to Harbin are here for the skiing or hunting. Harbin boasts China’s largest and most well-facilitated skiing region, the Yabuli Ski Resort, which hosted the 1996 Asian Winter Games. Must go Attractions in Harbin. 1. Yabuli Ski Resort – Surrounded by imposing mountain ranges lavishly covered with pine forests, it is currently the largest and facilitated skiing resort in China. Besides the spectacular view, wild animals are also frequent sights on the resort. 2. Sun Island Park – Sun Island in winter is really a fancy world in fairy tales. This natural island is the biggest recreational center in Harbin and as such can be highly popular in the summer months and during Snow Carving Festival. 3. Central Street – The largest and longest pedestrian street in Asia. This long corridor of European architectural art is the pride of every Harbiner. It provides an enthralling destination which abounds with history, attracting tourists from home and abroad. 4. Siberia Tiger Park – It is the largest wild natural reserve in the world dedicated to the Northeast China Tiger and is known as the King of the Forest. In the 1980’s, it was listed as one of the first-class national protected animals of China. 5. Wudalianchi Scenic Area – Situated in Wudalianchi City in northwestern Heilongjiang Province, the Wudalianchi Scenic Area is a famous volcanic field and tourist attraction with a unique and typical volcanic landscape. 6. Jile Temple – The Jile Temple is located on the East Straight Avenue of Nangang District, Harbin, Helongjiang Province. It is honored as one of four well-known temples in Northeast China, which the other three temples are Panruo Temple at Changchun, Cien Temple at Shenyang and Lengyan Temple at Yingkou.
