Concrete and steel. The end of the day, and end of an era.
My fascination with these crates continues, as they provide the perfect landscape with their varying colours and stamped typography. Sommerville Road, Sunshine provides the perfect location and the industrial wastelands continue to consume me. I nearly wrote off my front bumper as I drove over a mound of dirt in anticipation for the perfect shot.

I was coming home from picking up the Sunday paper, when I drove past the old Symons Dairy here in Bendigo. It was a hot day and I tried to continue driving home to my beloved air conditioner, but something made me turn back and take some photos at the old dairy.
You’ll find these creatures during the day scuttling around in back-alleys and side-streets, usually around the back of cafés and supermarkets. A wide variety of colours and can often be seen with a closely related species, the bread trays.
