Storm watching during winter months captures your breath as crashing waves pound the rocky beaches and send water shooting into the sky…...sitting on the beach and waiting to no endless sunset evening is spectacualar experience…..the coast of Oregon is every photographer dream…..When they say dreamland this sure is one…I take dangerous edges and lenghtly times of waiting to bring out the best of the nature….This is not everyday of the road scene….It takes courage, time and at the time can be very expensive to bring out the best….Enjoy my work once again….and thank you for any coment i might receive on my photography….... / / SINGHRAY FILTER Graduated ND filter 1 F-stop hard grad…. Peggy’s Cove is one of the most photographed locations in the world located in Nova Scotia, Canada. This tiny inlet boasts some spectacular scenery including huge glacial rocks, a tiny village of 40 inhabitants, and particularly the lighthouse. / The crashing Atlantic Ocean surf on these lovely rocks is fabulous.

With a heavy NE swell closing down most of the beaches along Australia’s East Coast over new year, not even the pools are safe. In a somewhat typical Aussie understatement, the sign at North Curl Curl pool on Sydney’s Northern Beaches says “Pool Closed, Dangerous Conditions” and that’s if you can get close enough to read it without being washed away. A new years day swim to shake out the NYE cobwebs from the previous night is pretty much out of the question. While I was there, there were some much bigger waves/sprays but this one was pretty solid and nicely balanced the image with the pool. There should probably also be a sign that says “Don’t stand so close to the pool taking photographs” or shoot telephoto from a distance rather than wideangle. But then what’s the fun in that? Although the two feet of water swirling around below me was a bit dicey at times.

This was inspired by a sign we see very often here in Newfoundland.
