  • Craig’s Hut on Mt Stirling in the Victorian High Country was built for the filming of The Man From Snowy River. / Lost only recently in the fires that swept the High Country an major effort is now underway to rebuild the hut. / The hut and it’s location with it’s magnificent views has become a major tourist attraction for both 4wd enthusiasts and the touring public. / This image of the hut was taken about 10 months before the fires swept through.

  • This is a copy of a Mod that Rain did for me a long time ago. I can’t find the Original so I have tried my best to emulate what she did for me :) See HIS

  • Like a fairytale castle Mont Saint Michel at dusk in the rain, I got wet and cold but it was worth it for images like this. A blended exposure using HDR techniques. • This darling red bike was found in one of the few remaining galleries in Paris. It was just a charming shot that I had to take.

  • Two Brighton Deck chairs sit with great vantage spot of a incoming storm front. I love the moody feel to this shot. I must thank Matthew Bonnington for his help in bringing the most out of this shot, his help with some new processing techniques really add impact to this shot.

  • Eilean Donan Castle one of the Iconic Scottish Castles was just a magic place to visit and photograph. I spent close to 9 hours taking in the surrounds, the atmosphere and the serenity and of course the odd photo or two. Here is one of my favourites, I really like the balance of light and the reflections. This was the 3rd last photo I took during this 9 hour period, and goes to show that patience can pay off. • Eilean Donan Castle one of the Iconic Scotish Castles was just a magic place to visit and photograph. I spent close to 9 hours taking in the surrounds, the atmosphere and the serenity and of course the odd photo or two. Here is another shot which I kind of like. • One of my favourite portraits of my Dad, doing what he loves more then anything else in the world fishing. If he could he’d spend every day fishing, as it is he sometimes wets a line three or four times a day. On this occasion I decided to get up early and document him enjoying his sport. This is the result, it has special sentimental value to me, but I felt like sharing it as something different to what I’ve been posting recently.

  • This shot has a bit of a story behind it, I was with a group of fellow photographers on what we call a Ferry Hop expedition. Basically we spend the day or most of it, riding the Sydney Ferries to different destinations taking photos on board and where ever we disembark. On this particular outing a few of my fellow photographers and I decided to issue a challenge, walk up to perfect strangers and ask for to take their photo. This was only the second person I ask after the challenge was issued. This lovely gentleman had a great face, a lovely white and gray beard and looked just the part for a nautical theme. As it happens when I approached him, we were nearing a replica tall ship and the Darling Harbour light house (scene in the background). Well all the elements just fell into place, and I only took two shots but I knew I had bag a great image, I thanked the Sea Captain as I’ve now called him, showed him the image and let him travel the rest of the trip in peace. I’m considering entering this in the portrait section of the Real Photography compeition, while it may be a little unconventional, it’s one of my favourite portraits (and most the others my wife won’t let me post as they are pictures of her).

  • This shot was taken on a quiet afternoon on the streets of Edinburgh, Scotland.

  • Early morning at Lake Wanaka, NZ. Other Landscapes ... More mountains ...

  • Taken from the roof top garden of Galleries La Fayette (we think) looking down the tree bordered Rue Tronchet toward Madeline Church, and behind that the golden dome of Napoleon’s tomb with the ever present Eiffel Tower in the background far right. Buyers Please Note : This image is processed to imitate a painting, as in by this close up excerpt from the original. The artist suggests the following artworks as companion pieces. Paris Carousel / / Paris /

  • This shot was taken on the streets of Paris (yes a lot of my images are from my trip, I just saw too many beautiful things not to share). In this shot the Cherub seems to be alone or lost, and the falling drops from the fountain above I thought were like Angel Tears, tears for the little one they couldn’t find.

  • Wicked storm passing over us and i was lucky enough to capture a few shots before the rain hit. Taken in outback Australia, South West Queensland.

  • I met Mohamed inside the Temple of Kom Ombo right on the banks of the Nile, and his eyes were just captivating. He was one of the many locals that offered their services as a guide inside the temples in the return for baksheesh, photos cost extra but after chatting with him I felt he needed the money more then I did and I had to record his extraordinary eyes. Throughout my visit I didn’t see another blue eyed Egyptian so I felt lucky to have met Mohamed by chance, and shared some time with him. The Temple of Kom Ombo is actually two temples consisting of a Temple to Sobek and a Temple of Haroeris, so everything in mirrored for each of the Gods.

  • Well … a quick update on my sweet little Jordy man :) :) He is doing exceptionally well as you can see in this photo I took of him yesterday :) :) His fur is slowly growing back over the scar tissue now and he is starting once again to look as handsome as ever :) :) I cannot begin to explain how happy and lucky I feel … and how appreciative I am for all the LOVE that has flowed from those of you that have supported Jordy and I by buying my work and those profits going towards the Jordy Fund :) :) I will be posting some photos on my blog also in the next few days … so keep and eye (no pun intended LOL) on that as well :) :) Thank you all so very much from the bottoms of our Puuuuuuurring hearts :) :) {{{{{{{{{{{{{{HUG}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

  • Unfortunately the skies here in the desert are mostly hazy and full of sand and dust! There are not too many days when there are clear horizons with clouds, and to be able to catch a sunrise like this was just excellent! Located in Libya towards the Algerian border. / /

  • These refugee’s were traveling to Chad via Niger and stopped near our rig site to make repairs to their truck. After giving them water food and milk for the women, babies and children, they were gracious enough to let me take some shots. They still had 1000km to travel at this point…......Life is sometimes very cruel! Unfortunately i could not get any better shots of the women and children as they were safely nestled up on top. / Shot in the Sahara desert, Libya. / Nikon D300, 24 – 120mm at 58mm, f18, 1/250, ISO 200. / / . / / . /
