Seven spastic lines all searching for an image
Lucan came up with the title after ehmaysink replied to a comment I made a long time ago in a thread and it’s been sitting in my notebook ever since. / I think this would make a good challenge for the T-Shirt designers if they wanted. Pick a line / Any line / and interpret / Most of these lines came to me when I was trying to go to my “special place” while being tortured at a dance recital for girls between the ages of 4 and 15 years. / The main aim of these childern (as far as I could figure out before I slipped into a coma) was to bounce off each other like pinballs in brightly coloured lycria and giggle.
Knitting is one of several ways to turn thread or yarn into cloth.Similar to crochet, knitting consists of loops pulled through other loops. There are two varieties of knitting, weft knitting and warp knitting.Warp knitting is generally done by machine, whereas weft knitting may be done by hand.A knitting needle or knitting pin is a long stick or rod used as a tool in the manufacture of hand knitted fabric. Knitting needles have also been called knitting sticks, knitting pins, knitting wires, or simply wires or rods.

Skellie has written a great article over at FreeLanceSwitch.com that outlines 12 incredibly crafty ways to become a high-profile freelancer . It’s a great list of interesting ways to find yourself heading up the ladder of success with just a little bit of effort. But the two that took my interest relate to the photographer in me: Photographers 7. Offer to take free photos for a well-known blog or website. Popular blogs and websites tend to use stock photography or images from Flickr, but I’ve little doubt that they’d enjoy a source of custom free photos tailored to each post or category. Even if you only provide them for a week, you can still add the blog to your list of clients. 8. Start a photo-blog with the aim of getting a large following. A popular blog focusing on your photography will add considerable value to your freelancing profile. It shows potential clients that your work is popular with a wide variety of people. Well, that is most definitely a great set of ideas! Anyone already doing either of these ideas? Feel free to leave a message telling us all about your photo-blog. Squirrels aren’t easily fooled. Though I was sitting in a shooter’s blind, this fellow knew I was there, approached cautiously along this limb, stopped, and then made a u-turn back into the woods.
A lovely summer morning spent knitting a wonderful winter scarf.

Squirrels are fun to watch but way too voracious in their eating habits. After chomping down an asparagus fern as his salad, one saucy fellow then scrambled up the pole to the bird feeder where he enjoyed sunflower seeds as his entree. Still not through, he pruned my yellow hibiscus for dessert. When these nervy diners are really hungry, they have even gnawed at my front door. Guess they need the roughage!

There are so many tips’n’tricks, tutorials, enhancements and various other interesting articles listed around Redbubble. I’ve decided it is time to revitalise the articles I have written. / Why? Because so many writers are long-winded, overly-descriptive and their instructions are near impossible to navigate. I believe my documents cover the many issues necessary to run a successful redbubble gallery, allowing artists to successfully present their portfolio to all clientele. Had the Idea whilst wishing the hours away at work. Let me know if you give it a bash…....
Duncanville is a small, rather landlocked town, hardly bigger than a village. From the air, it looks like lots of houses, with many two lane streets and a few, very few, 4 lane thoroughfares. Main street stretches from a few industrial plants on the north of downtown, to the highway, that bisects it, just beyond the new hockey center. One side, on the west, is laid with a railway siding that supplies the industrial section with empty box cars and wood product flats. To the east, the town has started trying to update old buildings with retro designed brick facades and clock towers. A few faded buildings, constructed of painted and mortared cement blocks, still exist where fiercely independent mechanics ply their trade. Further south, a bookstore and seasonal shaved ice vendor side the cracked parking lots. My favorite place, along this patched asphalt avenue, is a building that was one of the first to get a face lift. The owner told me once, that it cost him $200,000 to put on the pretty multicolored brick and that Victorian clock tower. They named it Ben Franklin, over 50 years ago, and although the company by that name, attempted to get it removed…the humble Jesperson family won a short lived battle and it’s monikered to this day….Ben Franklin. Just like the old general stores which fronted that memorable title, this one stocks and sells a little of everything. Bubble gum to sewing, Jacks to Root Beer floats, and eye glasses to prescription drugs. And way back in the left corner of the store is an old style soda fountain with bar stools and 50’s metal tables, booths and even a short order cafe. Sandwiches to box lunches served with a down home smile. This being Friday night, tomorrow, they will do a huge business of families and elderly, coming to eat, drink, and pass the time, while admiring the mural on the north wall, of the feed store across the street on the west, next to the tracks. I visit this tiny cafe about once a month in the spring through fall, hitching up to the bar, ordering a float, and four box lunches. Sandwiches piled high with cold cuts and condiments, a dill pickle sliced lengthwise wrapped in butcher paper and a choice of chips or Southern Potatoe Salad. Yum! A modern day Mayberry, RFD, in miniature. I wonder where Ellie May is hiding…... Special Thanks to: Tereza Del Pilar for the concept for this series Jan Jesperson, the wife of the owner, who gave me run of the store to shoot this series,

I had just walked out of a tall building here in Melbourne when I happened to look up at a sharp angle – and there was a hot-air balloon floating majestically (and silently) through the clear blue sky. While I admired the bold red Hippie-era ``peace’’ sign emblazoned on it, I realised that if I sprinted quickly, I would be able to get an unusual angle. If I was quick enough I would succeed in getting under the balloon to picture it as an orb, rather than shooting it from side-on in its pear-shaped configuration. In my haste, I noticed the fronds of a palm tree – which gave me an extra dimension in the shot, as well as a second symbol of Melbourne. Luckily I had my Sigma 70-300mm lens on my Pentax K100D. This was shot at F8, 1/180 sec, ISO 400 with a focal length of 300mm. Yes, the balloon was very high – it was at cruising altitude. This image has not been cropped or post-edited in any way. What you see is exactly what I shoot.
thought my dog was asleep, but then i rememberd , she doesn`t sleep, / She carn`t do, because every move i make she follows me, i carn`t beleive how much this animal loves me, A true companion.
Picture done for a very crafty friend – it would help to have more hands sometimes
So I’ve been collecting beercaps for the past six months. I’m using them for various things, and since hot glue sticks are so cheap, it’s making my life very interesting right now. Expect to see a lot of little crafts from me in the coming weeks, I’m going to try to use them all. / I first lined the cover in newcastle caps, then I painted it with orange acrylic, scraping pieces of it away with scissors so it would dry in a patterned way. I then pasted two images I found atop one another in different watercolor washes and cut the eyes out of the orange one so the purple layer would show through. I pasted them all down and added the beercaps for eyes.
