Rogue pilots from area 51, take the day off. I’m not sure if this is the sort of tweaking you had in mind, Resisto, but I couldn’t resist drawing something for that inviting flight path. The “donut / frizzbee” type ufo more common a decade or two ago, has been linked by certain groups to experimental aircraft developed by the Americans afer they had “interviewed” the “high altitude crash test dummy” aliens. Who knows? Anyway it was easier to draw than a Battlestar. :)

The cliff face shimmered slightly as the craft slipped softly into the blue. They hugged the sheer wall until they were well clear, then dipped into the powdered soft whiteness beneath. It had been a while since their last meeting. Hopefully this one would go better… I have used this digital painting as the cover for my / 2009 Sci Fi Calendar /

The most powerful computing and the applications that sit on it are taking us back to the past. I am particularly thinking about the emergence of micro-audiences and how this is very similar to what existed prior to the advent of mass communication. Before Edison invented the phonograph, people created the music they listened to and shared it with people they knew. In a similar way, most decorative arts were produced and shared locally. If you wanted to decorate your mantelpiece you had better start whittling away. Being creative in this pre-industrial world was something you did rather than something you bought. Strangely, this is re-emerging. The Internet is re-enabling micro-communities, but based on interest rather than geography. Singers and artists can create for small audiences from all over the world. This is part of a larger trend. Slow food is challenging industrialized fast food. The craft movement is resisting mass production. Bloggers are taking on mass media and TV is losing out to online video. I cannot help but feel this is a good thing. It feels to me like us reclaiming part of our humanity that we should never have let go. Martin (aka Pilgrim)
Choice II is for those who love the light side of the spectrum. It takes on such a different feeling than the much darker original, The Choice / Love should never be a choice. While man attempts to recreate his universe through science, emulating God; at the core, each of us struggles with daily choices that eclipse logic. Are choices of the heart logical or divinely inspired, impetuous or practical, or do these rather define constraints of the mind? Should the heart always win over thought process, or does one inform the other? By our divine nature, women have a choice, to follow our heart, head, will, or spirit. Wrong or right, we exercise it. Please visit my Africa Mission Charity Website: / http://www.philadelphia33.org/ / / I was walking from one village to the next, in Remote Nigeria. one of the team noticed this young girl following us for some time. I stopped and spoke to her through an interpretor. We learned that she was 13 years old and caring for three younger Sisters. As she told us here story, I Felt compelled to return to her village. There we met her three younger sisters in the most extreme poverty. Both Parents were dead and no other living relatives. We spoke to the village Chief and the elders who pleaded with us to help the family. We did, as God lead us to and blessed here with clothing, and the following day we sent two of our field workers to meet with her and now they have a small regular income from our mission funds. PLEASE READ THIS + ALL PROCEEDS FROM SALES OF MY ART, DONATED ART OR DONATIONS MADE VIA OUR CHARITY WEBSITE GOES TO HELP THESE PRECIOUS CHILDREN. WE NEVER TAKE A PENNY OUT OF WHAT YOU GIVE FOR STAFF SALARIES, OR CHARITY OVERHEADS+ This was taken at Ungwa/Fada Village in remote Nigeria. This is one child I will never forget. I had just finished preaching in a remote village and the Prayer line had closed and the meeting was closed. But Noel’s Older brother came from the very back and carried Noel to me. he was dying from Intestinal worms and had a terrible open wound on his left leg. We prayed, and as I was Praying Noel took his last breath and went home to be with Jesus. The thing that broke my heart is that Noel’s life could have been saved, if we had the money for medicine. many Like Noel can be saved. PLEASE Help US. The village has now collapsed and there is no clean water. many die like Noel. We can make a real difference, if we all sow whatever finance you can into raising $5,300 to drill a new deep bore well, that wont run dry. We need you help as we cannot do this on our own. Beloved, i know you will pray for me and the children. Please do what you can. Thats all the Lord expects from any of us. Together We can make a real difference. God bless you in your efforts. I will never forget taking this photograph, as I was standing waiting for the ferry to come. Anyone who has been to rural Africa will know that things runs on African time. That’s why I call them Last minute.com. After three hours, these two guys came to me and said the ferry Had broke down on the other side, and that they would take me accross. So I got in, with all my camera equipment and a very wet Interpreter, who fell into the water. / One the way accross I suddenly realised that the large boat coming straight towards us was the Ferry. It was so funny. The fishermen refused to take any payment, as they said it would bring good fortune to the, as they had a white man in their boat. they both recieved Jesus as Lord and Saviour. It was really a blessed boat trip. visit: / http://www.philadelphia33.org/
I love the website “Whatbird.com” because it not only describes each bird but also provides an audio clip of its song. The “song” of a hummingbird sounds more like the whirring of an engine or some kind of alien hovercraft than an actual song! I never tire of watching these energetic little feather balls hovering, sometimes only inches away from me! Click here to see and hear the ruby-throated hummer on whatbird.com
