Good news! I’ve just been booked to do my first wedding in February. This is exciting. My shoulder should be pretty much back in action by then. For those who don’t know … I’m having shoulder surgery on Dec 13 and will be out of action for a while until it heals enough for me to pick up a camera again and work on the computer. I might have to try clicking with my left hand .. should make for some interesting shots. mmm yes I might do that … ‘Left hand photography’ .... has potential. Tomorrow I have to get up at the crack of dawn to go shoot some old cars. Maybe it’s me getting old, but it will be effort on my side to get up at the crack of dawn! So think of me in your dreams…. I will be chasing after old cars and a steam engin – train- to find out who has the “steam” to complete the journey from one city to a small town just outside our capital, without hick-ups. Sold zilch, not even a T-Shirt, as yet. :-) Super, I really am staggered —over 1000 views (1008 at time of writing) from all over the place, and from all the wonderful people to did the viewing. I actually wrote a little tirade about not having sold anything off RedBubble® but it seemed that RedBubble® took offense ‘cause it never actually got to my journals. But I have’nt sold anything—lots of views but no sales. Mama. Addendum : Now 1446 Views with the highest being 97, 78 and one of my earliest images a wopping 46. Rest rest are less than 10 views.

Australia is the driest inhabited continent on Earth and from 2003 has recorded the worst drought in a 1000 years in many parts of the country. 30% of this huge continent is desert, but it is the El Nino effect in 2006-7 and global climate change that has contributed to the water crisis around the coastal perimeters and more fertile zones. / Capital cities face a water storage crisis, agricultural production has dropped, stock feed is scarce and everyone faces water restrictions and water bills. Serious environmental damage, vegetation loss, soil erosion, salinity problems, toxic algae outbreaks in waterways and lakes and more bushfires are the result of the long 5 year drought. Since 2003 state governments have been attempting to drought proof their states. / Only recently and with a newly elected Labor government has Australia joined Kyoto Protocol and Global Warming Agreements in an attempt to address our carbon footprint and global climate change. / Water is our most precious resource. Our colonial past and the clearing of natural bush and vegetation for farming and other purposes has wreaked a heavy price on a very fragile ecosystem.

The last couple of days have been a little tough on… haven’t really been able to sleep much, and keep waking up extremely emotional and since I’m a glutton for punishment i decide to keep listening to songs on my way to work that keep reminding me of him especially this song / which incited me in to cutting all ties with Jon. But it’s really damn hard i thought, i really thought he was really the one. Which is why when after he decided it wouldn’t work I spent the time on our holiday in Italy (although i was alone) deciding that i would fight for us. We bump into each other after 4/5 years of not seeing each other we go out for a drink and realize we still really love each other so much. At the time i really thought i was in a film.. “I mean this kind of thing doesn’t happen in real life, does it?” I said to myself. I know it was the right thing to do to close all ties, because otherwise I probably would have kept pining for something to happen while we were still friends and hanging out. I know I would have. / But what’s going to stop me pining for him like i did for 5 years? The moment i saw him this summer i realiszd i never did get over him. But am i over him now? Am i ever going to be over him? The day we broke up i said something to him. Something that scares me so much… / “I kinda believe that there’s only one person out there for each of us.. And I think you are it, if you think it’s not going to work and we aren’t going to carry on.. then i guess I’m screwed, and I’m going to be alone” I always feel alone, but for those three months in my life we were back together for the last time, i finally felt like i could share stuff with someone else that i didn’t have to do it alone anymore, and hearing him say to me “You’re too independent i think i need someone who needs me more”. / I did need you! But when you are so goddamn used to pretending that you are fine and tough and can handle anything and that everything is just fine because if you don’t keep on telling yourself you might just let go and crack. Letting someone in is not easy.. And now I’m crying so I’m going to have to stop…. HUG To understand / is what / I ask of you. To see / my unhappiness / is what / you must do. The Dog decided he wanted to have 10000 T-shirt views by Christmas – no purchasing required, just a look at a few designs to help him reach his goal. In the last fortnight I’ve had 733 views which roughly translated with my little doggy calculator would mean that my view rate has almost doubled.
