Sun setting behind an oceanfront marina
This is probably the most photographed lighthouse in Nova Scotia. For this reason, I don’t usually like taking shots of it because most likely anyone that has visited NS has been there and done that…. However, we went on a Sunday drive and decided to go to Peggy’s Cove where this famous lighthouse lives. She is a beauty though right?
This is another image from the Peggy’s Cove collection. I’m hoping (probably in vain) that this perspective hasn’t been shot all that often as i don’t like repeating someone else’s work. I don’t recall seeing this small village portrayed this way but that could just be that I missed it. I really love how this shot turned out and I hope you do too!

Watercolor 12” x 16” (31cm x 41cm) on Arches 140 lb cold pressed paper Prisoner’s Cove is located in Neys Provincial Park, just west of Marathon Ontario on the north shore of Lake Superior. Location of a POW camp, the prisoner’s were treated so well that some tried to escape at the end of the war in an attempt to remain in Canada.
This slipway in Lower Island Cove doesn’t look like it gets much use these days.
Trying out a pano head I’ve recently purchased, any tips welcome.

I captured this standing high above Lulworth with the Cove behind me. Lulworth Cove is near the village of West Lulworth, on the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site in Dorset, southern England. The cove is one of the finest examples of such a landform in the world and has over 1 million visitors a year. It is close to Durdle Door and other Jurassic Coast sites. The cove has formed because there are bands of rock of alternating resistance running parallel to the shore (a concordant coastline). On the seaward side the clays and sands have been eroded away. / Canon EOS 400D 18-55mm lens.

Sunrise over Bermuda’s South Shore in the Atlantic Ocean
During this past week, unimaginable waves came crashing into the north shores of the Hawaiian islands. The surf was windy, and messy, and disorganized—not ridable for the great watermen of Hawaii. I happened to be in Sunset Beach, Oahu during the storm, and the sun only peeked through the clouds a couple of times, briefly. I was waiting. Here is my image.
Cove Bay is a small cove located near to the village of Hopeman which in turn is located West of Lossiemouth. I spent many a happy hour here as a youth and camped in the grassy banks of the cove on many occasions. A special place for many I would guess. Drove across there tonight in time for the sunset. This shot was taken some 20 mins. after sundown when I noticed some bird footprints in the sand and tried to replicate a similar but different ‘S’ curve using the two rocks, the water run-off and the waves. Lossiemouth and Hopeman are located in Moray, Scotland.
