Lighthouse in Peggy’s Cove Nova Scotia, Sunsets always turn out perfect here.
The lighthouse in Peggy’s Cove, Nova Scotia, Canada
This is probably the most photographed lighthouse in Nova Scotia. For this reason, I don’t usually like taking shots of it because most likely anyone that has visited NS has been there and done that…. However, we went on a Sunday drive and decided to go to Peggy’s Cove where this famous lighthouse lives. She is a beauty though right?
The world-famous lighthouse at Peggy’s Cove, Nova Scotia, Canada. I’ve been wanting to go here for quite a while to get some pictures. We finally went a few weeks ago, and of course it being January in Nova Scotia and right by the ocean it was very cold, mostly due to the wind coming off the ocean. I think it was worth it though. I finally got to see this Nova Scotia landmark in person. Hope you enjoy it.

This was one of the most spectacular sunsets I have witnessed in a long time and Scott and I were lucky enough to be at Peggy’s Cove in Nova Scotia when it occurred. At first I was hoping these two love birds would get out of my shot but then I realized they added to it… I hope you enjoy it!

The lighthouse at Peggy’s Cove, Nova Scotia, Canada, is one of the most photographed seascapes on the Atlantic coast. / The never ending pounding surf has worn the bare rocks smooth and it invites the visitor to wander and explore. But be careful many have been surprised by a bigger than normal wave that has washed people of the rocks. / The lighthouse has served a valuable purpose in warning the mariners of the dangerous rocks.
An especially beautiful evening at Peggy’s Cove, Nova Scotia, with a quiet Atlantic Ocean and a beautiful flaming sunset.I’ve already posted one from the same evening (“Fireball”) and I thought it would be interesting to silhouette the lighthouse against the setting sun. I waited until there were no people about,I felt it would be an intrusion on the serenity of the scene. Sony DSCF828 camera,

A landscape version this time. Peggy’s Cove is one of the busiest tourist attractions in Nova Scotia and is a prime attraction on the Lighthouse Trail scenic drive. The community’s famous lighthouse marks the eastern entrance of St. Margaret’s Bay and is officially known as the Peggy’s Point Lighthouse. Peggy’s Cove has a classic red-and-white lighthouse still operated by the Canadian Coast Guard. The light station is situated on an extensive granite outcrop at Peggys Point, immediately south of the village and its cove. This lighthouse is one of the most-photographed structures in Atlantic Canada and one of the most recognizable lighthouses in the world.
