This is a 3D digital rendered image not a photo. (someone thought it was a photo) This is another version of the image “The Tractor”. I thought I’d try a different touch and I pretty much like it, but you my friends tell me what you think, which one do you like best? Thank you for viewing my work. This was one of my rewards, that morning for rising early and driving in thick fog to a little town just West of Geelong, called Shelford.

Mixed media on canvas This abstract artwork was inspired from one of my photos featuring a beautiful farm tree and a serene countryside. In this work I really wanted to create a peaceful ambiance and something very natural and calming. I saw it first in a vision, I saw a large tree being surround by lightness and flowing soft colors. I call it Daybreak for the light that seams to be on the tree branches and the soft blue hues of color like the morning mist surrounding this earthen beauty, just before daybreak. Well this is one of those occasions when I turned to the husband and said: “Stop, stop the car, I saw something back there I need to shoot!” / I just couldn’t pass up trying to capture this old barn on the way out the beach this morning. Featured in Dilapidated Buildings group July 2008.

This is Tex. He was abandoned by his Mother and was found suffering from pneumonia. The person who saved him hand-reared Tex herself, and as luck would have it, her parents own a farm where Tex was later released to live out the rest of his days… no doubt if he hadn’t been rejected, he would only have only lived a short life before being slaughtered. This is one lucky lamb!! Photography and editing by Jennifer Woodward © 2008

This scene was taken in the Forest of Bowland! The tree is the same tree LOYALTY, but from another angle!

In this painting I have endeavored to reduce the landscape down to its absolute minimum, focusing purely on the line of salt-bush on the horizon, with one solitary bird hovering in the air, to give the impression of the raw empty heat of a mid day summer where nothing stirs until l the cool of the evening. . . “Often, the best opportunity comes unexpectedly. I was observing two pretty ponies and taking photographs on their sweet faces. Suddenly, several crows arrived and started to fly in circles. As one of them took a meal in the beak, the others started chasing her. / / Spontaneity is the key in portraying animated subjects at their best. I captured the expressiveness of this beautiful crow when she made a quick turn upwards spreading her magnificent wings against an overcast autumnal sky.” / / / (Location: Countryside in Lexington, MA, USA) / / Artist statement: My photographs are not enhanced; they represent the true nature and colours of the subjects as captured by the lens. “The eyes of this friendly horse captivated me. Keeping a short distance from my face, he looked at me intently with an inquiring eye. The afternoon sunlight was golden and bathed his coat in a sheer layer. The mane flew softly around his pretty face while he demanded to be given a carrot with steady hoof stamps in front of me. / / I had no carrots, yet a friendly pat on his velvety muzzle earnt me a swift amicable slurp from his soft lips. I took close-ups at his handsome looks. / / This frame portrays the beautiful colour, hues and iridescence of the mane and lashes, all set aglow in the warm sunlight.” / / Artist statement / My photographs are not enhanced; they represent the true nature and colours of the subjects as captured by the lens. Northumberland hidden places…..................
-
The location is not far from Medbourne. Typical of the rural landscape of the county of Leicestershire, UK – scattered farms, gently rolling hills and wide sky. This is a factory. This is next years bread. Few people work the land now, and communities die as pretty villages become occupied by second home owners and absentee landlords who rarely get involved in village life. The average youngster cannot afford to buy back into the village, so leave for the work in towns. This is just an observation based on my own experiences, and I find it sad. But this is true across the whole of the UK, and something needs to be done to retain rural working communities. I do not have the answers…..but it doesn’t stop me asking the questions everywhere I go. I have this panorama at 50,000 pixels wide, 300 dpi, which approximates to just under 14ft long if someone can print it – big wall anyone? If so, bubblemail me if you want it that big.
