This is my favourite tree, a wind battered willow tree located on the banks of the River Stour between Flatford and Dedham in England, UK. This was taken about an hour after sunrise, just as the early morning mist was starting to burn off. Signed giclee art prints available at www.henroben.co.uk

March 2008 I’d pulled in to capture a picture of the Cooling Towers at the Ratcliffe-On-Soar Power Station in Nottinghamshire but on the walk from the car I just couldn’t believe the sky I saw on the way past this field. Taken with a Nikon D40 and Nikon 18-55mm lens at 18mm

Taken a few miles east of Leicester, near Allexton. Its that time in the UK, just before the wheat gets harvested – heavy heads beginning to nod gently under the weight of the grain, and the weather unable to decide whether it is summer or not, threatening to flatten the crop, just it is ready. Leicestershire is full of distant horizons like this, and the Barley is all but in now, much of the ground already having been put under the plough in readiness for the next crop.

Featured in The Woman Photographer on 12 November 2009 – thank you so much! this image was taken on the 2nd Feb 2009 when we had those incredibly heavy snows here in London (heaviest snow fall this area has seen in the last 18 years or so!) It was an incredible day where all public transport was a total shambles and the city of London came to a grinding halt as folk could not get to into the city / to the office. Instead, people headed outdoors to enjoy the splendour of the day!! What a delight!!! And this image just seems to make the perfect Season’s Greetings card :) hence the upload now :)) I’d initially uploaded it here (my “old” profile … thanks to everyone who visited and left such generous notes and comments back then and even recently :) More seasonal images of the Epping Forest area can of course be viewed on the main SeeOneSoul website ... pages 7 – 9 of the Epping Gallery contain the winder shots :) Hope you enjoy viewing as much as I enjoyed seeing, experiencing & creating ;) ~ Tina
