Deep in the Victorian High Country this is a working relic of the past. / Wood’s Point has a population of around 40 people and is a long way from anywhere, a very remote community. / You can still buy fuel here, but only deisel and super.
Probably my last upload for a couple of days due to family committments….. / Enjoy…. / / Title is again inspired by Frank Zappa and yep….it’s infrared. / / /

This is exactly how it looked in 1989. The ivy stays here year round. It’s weird, because it’s barren outside; winter. But when you step inside (which isn’t hard..you simply step through the wall) it looks like a summer day. Very odd & surreal feeling. Taken last week, standing in the basement looking up at the back door. More from the abandoned farmhouse series soon. :) And Happy New Year everyone!! / It’s 8:37 p.m. here. I get the feeling I’m the last sober one around here.(not for long…ha.) / / >featured< / sold: 2 mounted prints (RB artists) / / More from this series: / / Welcome Home / Tattered And Torn / Wild Horses / Watch Your Step / I Remember You / / /
Taken In Kasmier in the Mogul Gardens.. Love’s procession is moving; / Beauty is waving her banner; / Youth is sounding the trumpet of joy; / Disturb not my contrition, my blamer. / Let me walk, for the path is rich / With roses and mint, and the air / Is scented with cleanliness. Kahilil Gibran
Straight from camera ! ....... Cute and puffed up wood pigeon taken at Hinchingbrooke Park, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, England, UK Wood pigeons are large and portly grey birds, with a white band across the wings, white patch at the side of the neck and a dark band on the tail. They have a pinkish brown neck and upper breast. Wood pigeons inhabit a variety of habitats, particularly wooded country, farmland, parks and gardens Their call sounds like coo-coo-coo, coo-coo

Old dilapidated barn with rustic red doors. This old barn will be torn down sometime this month. Someone in the neighborhood complained that it was an “eye sore”.... so sad! Image was redone for me in HDR by Kimberly Palmer.
Well this is one of those occasions when I turned to the husband and said: “Stop, stop the car, I saw something back there I need to shoot!” / I just couldn’t pass up trying to capture this old barn on the way out the beach this morning. Found this barn along the Oka Rd in Ste-Marthe-sur-le-lac, Quebec CANADA, July 2008 just about 5 minutes from home. Somewhere secret… somewhere safe.
Why not a Chrismas card !!!! A place called St-Anne-des-Plaines,the paradise of strawberry during summer time but fields of snow on winter…...”with some processing”...When I saw that old barn I already notice the beautiful colors of the wooden boards.Quebec,Canada. / / /
A station that time has mostly forgotten all about stands waiting for a time that may never come. These old buildings and rails remember an era where hundreds of happy faces passed through here on their way home or on their holidays: They dream of a time long since passed. The Summer sky presents its amber glow to the station and casts its pigment all over the scene, highlighting the old charm of the woodwork and enhancing the shaddows. There is a romantic stillness captured within this scene. It is easy for us to imagine a crowd of people gathered waiting on a station that looks imaculate and yet, we can also see that this truly is the End of the Line. The house sits like her heart… Empty, once full of love and life, now the halls echo with the laughter..the joy of their love, Memories of happiness are all she has. He left for work that day with a kiss to her lips, a “I love you” on his way out the door, she waved to him out the window and blew him a kiss..if she only knew that would be the last time she tasted his kiss, felt his touch, she would never have let him go..The only relief out of all this pain and heartache is he didn’t suffer, when the truck hit his car head on, he died instantly. Now she waits, unable to leave their home, not wanting to go on, knowing that he waits for her..she prays for “HER” life after death, to be in his arms again, to feel his kiss, his touch, to make this house their home for eternity, the way it should have been..but again she wakes to the emptiness of the halls, the emptiness of their bed and of her heart..she goes to the window and like a movie played over and over agiain she sees him getting into his car..she pounds on the window..yells for him to STOP!!!..to COME BACK!!!...and like every day he pulls away and disappears into thin air…leaving her again.to her pain, and their empty house. Another abandoned house, Loved the blue color of this place. Nikon D90 / 18-200 mm VR lens
