Possibly one of the most charismatic tree’s I have ever seen, it’s at a place called Batesford which is West of Geelong. Standing next to it overlooking the landscape at sunrise or sunset is something quite special, a bit like hanging with an old friend lol
On a frosty june morning I found myself to the top of a local range near Geranium in the Souther Mallee looking at one of the most brilliant sunrise’s I have ever seen. The warm glow of the sun across the clouds and the shifting light made me forget about the the freezing temperatures I was working in.

Mother nature presented me on a last October evening with one of those sunsets that you can hope to see just once a year if you’re lucky. / High layers of scattered clouds, a pure, clean atmosphere and the fact that at the end of october the twilight lasts almost a hour, all this elements contributed in producing a stunning natural show. This is the Po River near to Carignano in Piedmont, Italy. I hope you enjoy it, thanks for dropping by. Paolo
This is a row of willows that is not more than a 100 mt. far from my house, in the country side near to Scalenghe in Piedmont, Italy. / I took this on a very early morning last november, 30 minutes after sunrise, while a thick fog was coming around, quickly obscuring the entire scene in just five minutes. Hope you enjoy it, thanks for viewing. Paolo
As a landscape photographer I am always in search of new interesting spots to depict. That’s why I travel a lot, when I can. However, I do believe that photography belongs more to how you see, than to what you see. With this in mind, I try to take advantage of any opportunity nature present me with, and I often realize that I don’t really need to travel a lot… This meadow is right outside my yard gate. I took this picture on last October, on a fresh early morning at sunrise, while some mist in the distance was spreading the dawn light tinging the sky with beautiful warm tones. Hope you enjoy this picture, thanks for dropping by. / Paolo
The saying “red sky in the morning, shepherd’s warning. Red sky at night, shepherd’s delight” was very true and evident this particular day, at Staughton Vale, near Geelong. / The same warning was also spoken of by Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew, in the Bible, centuries ago. Matthew 16:1-3 The Pharisees and Sadducees Seek a Sign 1 Then the Pharisees and Sadducees came, and testing Him asked that He would show them a sign from heaven. 2 He answered and said to them, “When it is evening you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red’; 3 and in the morning, ‘It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times. /

“Clouds on the Water, Fire Near the Sky” / Purchase a Mouse Pad of this image I happened onto this gorgeous sunrise over the White River at a time when the water was at its lowest. I was delighted to catch the calm surface for reflections, as the low rising sun was casting its first orange glow over the autumn colors.

Captured in rural Boulder County, Colorado….let me just say this was honest to God unbelievable to photograph. I had to handhold these shots because of my bum knee and well, the lightning was going crazy right above me. But I managed to get some dang nice shots off. This being one of them. I am really happy with this one, I debated about a square crop, but in the end I figured why the heck not, nothing ventured, nothing gained, right folks? A rustic country dawn. This spot is a short distance from Carrington near Temple & Gorebridge in Midlothian Scotland. Stopped on my way to work to capture the sunrise & the mist. It can be quite hard getting to work when the lighting is this good. / Added texture from a macro shot of some rust from St Abbs Harbour. / Made it onto page one of the featured page in the art section of Redbubble 21/10/09 /
