  • Those that know me well know that i was shattered when Craig’s hut burnt down in the 2006/2007 bush fires. I have loved “The Man from Snowy River” since i was a little girl and it had always been a dream of mine to one day see Craig’s hut in the flesh… then it was ravished by fire last year… well they have rebuilt it and thanks to our wonderful friend whom we stay with in Bonnie Doon, he took me and my family up there, knowing how much it would mean to me… I apologise now as i have about 70 odd photos from here and i am sure that a good number will end up on the Bub! This really was a dream come true, silly to some maybe, but for me a special moment i will never forget. I will be returning very soon as I have fallen in love with it up there…

This person is this sketch is not sure what she is facing on returning home…should should go on, turn around? What could cause such hesitation returning home? Hope you like it and comments always welcome!! / Done in HB pencil on Strathmore, Bristol, vellum finished ,heavy weight and acid free paper / /

  • Not far away from my house lies a country road where my son’s friend lives. He kindly allowed my sister and I to invade his family’s property for a photo shoot. The angle I chose allowed me to place the late afternoon sun directly behind the fence’s top railing. There is not noticeable glare because there was only 90 minutes of daylight left. This photo was shot in colour, but I changed the RAW file to black and white, before converting to JPG. I chose that option because I wanted to keep the colour version as well. I used the camera default settings for the black and white conversion, so I got the same result as I would have obtained by shooting directly in monochrome. No other change was made, uploaded completely as is. Shot in aperture priority / Focal length 18mm / ISO-100 / Aperture f/10 / Shutter 1/250 sec. Nikon D60 / AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f3.5-5.6G VR

  • This is one of my images depicting life in rural Alberta. Taken on the weekend of my mom’s funeral, I began to see more of the world in black & white. This image as powerful as it is without color, conveys a wonderful sense of tranquility and harmony even amidst the cold of winter. This photo was captured just north of Camrose, Alberta Canada. I hope you enjoy it.
