again melrose, south australia A friend of mine challenged me on my Australiana revisionism (in a good way) , because of him I want to take the time to explain myself . . . . . . . . . .as a very infamous Australian ( Pauline) would demand. . . . . . . . . . . . in between dance moves of course (sorry for the very blatant and gratuitous Australianism!). . . . . . . If you have seen any of my recent Australiana-revision images, you will know that I’ve been in mad scientist/experimental mode and I want to test myself to see how far I can take this idea. So any constructive critique you have the time to give me is a blessing…........................ Otherwise you will have to put up with my mad experiments (insert mad scientist laugh here) on an ongoing basis, like the person smiling with spinach on their teeth!!!! Lol. Anyway. This image I tried to keep the background hills and distance (horizon) as simple as possible. Sky, I think should always be exciting so its got s**t loads going on. Foreground, mmm still not sure…........ But the building I wanted to be ALIVE!!! Its a ruin they pepper the countryside here but as a deceased building its still full of character and to me, character is life , I wanted this to burst out! It was an awesome place to visit and get lost in So there you are / my thoughts / my experiment I would be really pleased to hear yours. . . .

I was delighted to catch the calm surface for reflections, as the low rising sun was casting its first orange glow over the autumn colors.

Lost in Utah would have been a more apt title after the GPS affectionately known as “Dorothy” lead me to a graveyard instead of a lake lol. I discovered some gorgeous countryside along route. There is nothing better than getting lost :))

MY FAVORITE COUNTRY ROAD / Best viewed large. / / / / “MY FAVORITE COUNTRY ROAD” was featured in the group COUNTRY ROADS/AROUND THE WORLD / / / / “MY FAVORITE COUNTRY ROAD” was featured in the group NATURAL COLOR AND LIGHT / / / This is a recent photo of my favorite country road! It is located in Flatwoods, Kentucky, in Greenup County, which lies in the northeastern part of the bluegrass state. Many of my relatives live in or just outside of Flatwoods, and my Dad built this one. / / The scenery from this road is almost surreal, it is so beautiful. Surrounding this road are country farms, barns and old churches. This road winds around a gorgeous mountain cloaked with a variety of lush trees and evergreens, whose leaves are radiant in the Fall of the year with brilliant shades of yellow, orange, red, brown and green. / / At the top of the mountain is the end of this magnificent road, which leads to a private, gated mansion that overlooks the entire county. It is very quiet and peaceful there, and everything, including time, seems to stand still on this beautiful road. If you are ever not coping with life, be creative! It brings you out of the doldrums in a big way! The satisfaction of seeing something that you created is a wonderful feeling. I hope that this feeling comes across in these series, created in December 2008. Has anyone else noticed how much this person Anonymous wrote & no-one seems to know where he lived, what he looked like?! He was so talented, wasn’t he?! This photograph of Queensland Railway Tracks was taken in February 2005. It is taken in the morning between Quilpie and Charleville, looking west. There is more to come in this series, still being created! This card (graphics) were designed in December 2008, using Photoshop. When I set up for this shot, I had the Eagles song of this title name pop straight into my head. I thought to myself, this is what I will name this shot. I could not hear a thing, there was not even birds chirping, no breeze, it was silence. I think I could easily get addicted to shooting in the early morning! :) Shot on the outskirts of Kilcoy, Queensland, Australia. Shot about 30 minutes after dawn. Canon 50D, 22mm, 16:9 crop.
