This rock in, known as Shiroyama (literally means “white mountain”), is located Arasaki Park (Yokosuka, Japan). Yokosuka is a city in Miura near Hayama, the town where I did my internship. Hayama is renowned for the beach and green hills, and this place was just a drive down. Hayama literally means “leaf mountain” in Japanese, and indeed Hayama is full of green mountains. The coast of Yokosuka, Hayama; along with other cities in Miura are popular for their beaches and offer a rich experience with nature. Cute and puffed up wood pigeon taken at Hinchingbrooke Park, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, England, UK Wood pigeons are large and portly grey birds, with a white band across the wings, white patch at the side of the neck and a dark band on the tail. They have a pinkish brown neck and upper breast. Wood pigeons inhabit a variety of habitats, particularly wooded country, farmland, parks and gardens Their call sounds like coo-coo-coo, coo-coo

Lorette Ponds in Kananaskis Country, Alberta, are 5 small ponds that were formed by the diversion of the Kananaskis River. They are often stocked with rainbow trout and fishing is permitted. There is a nice little bridge where you can cross from one side to the other with a paved walking trail all around the ponds. My friends and I built an Inukshuk on the banks of this pond in September 2006, I will check this year when I go back to see if was left there or destroyed. Kananaskis Country is a park located southwest of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. / Canon EOS Rebel XTi; Canon 18-55mm lens / Inukshuk / They are monuments made of unworked stones that are used by the Inuit for communication and survival. Wycoller is a delightful Lancashire village about 4 miles East of Colne, and is slowly being brought back to life after years of abandonment. In 1948 “The Friends of Wycoller” were established in an effort to preserve Wycoller village and the hall. Lancashire County council bought the land from the Water Board in 1973 and the beautiful village and surrounding countryside were designated a country park.

Found this little beauty in a farm in the Numinbah Valley, Queensland, Australia. Beautiful country scenery in this area, and looks to be locked in time in the early 1900’s.. I image this to be the shack of a farm hand at some stage. I doubt it’s still habitable, although the oranges just outside the door would make for good lunches! The white in the background are clouds, the rainy day made for lots of low cloud! Canon 50D, 60mm, 16:9 crop, 60% desaturation. I quite liked the old photo theme with this shot, hense the desaturate. Haven Brow, the highest of them at 253 feet (77 metres), stands majestically to the west of her other sisters who in order are called Short Brow, Rough Brow, Brass Point, Flagstaff Point, Baily’s Brow and Went Hill Brow. Under the sea at the foot of the cliffs are a number of gullies and ridges – varied marine life such as sea anemones, snails, and sponges can be found there. Now part of the Heritage Coast, an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ and also a ‘Site of Special Scientific Interest’, the beauty of the area will be protected for generations to come The area has a long and interesting history, including some fascinating shipwrecks, which you can discover on a series of shorewalks. They form part of the South Downs in East Sussex, between the towns of Seaford and Eastbourne in southern England. They are within the Seven Sisters Country Park. They are the remnants of dry valleys in the chalk South Downs, which are gradually being eroded by the sea. / The Seven Sisters cliffs are occasionally used in film and television as a stand-in for the more famous white cliffs of Dover, since they are relatively free of anachronistic modern development.
