Tucked away in the shadows of the Smoky Mountains, is Noah Ogle’s Place. Built abound 1880 by Noah an Cindy Ogle the closed section was built 1st.The far end section was built after having kids. turning it from a single pen to a saddlebag design. Through the efforts of the National Park Service, this historic Appalachian cabin has been preserved. This is located on the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park,outside of Gatlinburg,Tennessee,USA

Dark, blue-gray storm clouds roll in over the scenic farms and woodlands of the Beaver Valley in Grey County. Taken from atop the 150 meter high cliffs of Old Baldy. in the Old Baldy Conservation Area near Kimberly, Ontario, Canada. This vista is accessible only by foot, on a loop on the Bruce Trail, Canada’s longest hiking trail.

Stormy, rainy, and cloudy for a month now! Doesn’t make for the best of light for photography! LOL! Especially for my CHEEP camera!! Shot this in the dense forest right at dark, and the only light was behind the little walking bridge at Lost Valley, in the Buffalo Wilderness of Arkansas, USA. I could spend all day PLAYING in these woods!! ;:o)

Our family went to this gorgeous overlook located near the north fork of the American River in Alta California. My friends Dan and Erna were married here on 7-12-09 and as you can see, the view is breath-taking. I took the photos in this series on and near a family member’s farm in south central Michigan. While driving down this country lane with the sun shining through the bright, colorful leaves, I had the feeling of being in a cathedral surrounded by stained-glass windows.
