Just goofing around last night taking some 30sec exposures while moving around by the bar in my kitchen. Then took the shot and over/underexposed it, then ran it through Photomatix Pro to create an HDR image, then converted to B&W in Photoshop. Can you tell that I like Becks? I’m wearing my favorite “Out of Beer – Life is Crap” shirt (spoof on the “Life is Good” brand). HDR Images / Prague Images / Aviation Related Images

A wonderfully art-deco Hippie Van that I happened to see in a field near Pleasantville, Berks County, Pennsylvania – USA. I’m guessing that some Earth lovers had a great time in this van a while back. Jerry Keenehan / Fall 2007

It would seem that on the menu today is a hearty meal of broken glass, served with a delightful side order of grime. Taken at an abandoned radar research facility in Scotland.

I am concerned that the hamster which drives the redbubble wheel has had a little too much festive cheer. Today I opened my portfolio to check on how many views my work has had on Christmas day, to my surprise my latest work Lancashire Sunset / has had 1819 views in 24 hours. Now I realise how magnificent a shot it is but I find it hard to believe that so many people have viewed it in such a short time. It could possibly be an employee of the England tourist board trying to put my image at the top of all the popular charts but I dont think they work Christmas Day, Boxing Day maybe when the holiday and furnature sales start in earnest but not Christmas day. I was led to believe that the more views / comments and favouritings a work gets the higher it goes up the popular list and this does seem to be true. So my shot should be on top of those lists if the figures are to be believed and it isn’t. My conclusion is that the poor hamster which treadles around keeping the redbubble machine purring has had its drinking water laced with the strong stuff (probably by some junior bubble employee at the annual Christmas party) and has stored his nuts somewhere in the workings and sent the bubble counter crazy. I would like to know if anybody else has noticed this phenomena or maybe it is just me, or perhaps the count is a true indication and the hamster is innocent.

I just got this email from a friend and felt I needed to share it with you all… (NOTE: There are several herbal and organic SAFE remedies for fleas and other problems for both cats and dogs! Please see the bottom of this entry for links to online shops.) I found my (normally very healthy) cat today moving erratically in my basement, kind of staring into a corner. Dad confirmed that there was something wrong with him.. so we called the vet and she said that it sounded like he was having minor seizures(he probably had a bigger one earlier when we weren’t around, as we found vomit around his mouth and on his paws and vomiting goes hand-in-hand with seizures). On the way to the vet’s I mentioned that the flea medication, BioSpot, that my mom had applied a few days ago might be the cause. Lo and behold when the vet saw the greasy residue left on the back of my cat’s neck and confirmed that it was BioSpot, she told us that it was definitely the culprit. She said this happens ALL OF THE TIME with cats a day or so after BioSpot has been applied(it can happen in dogs too but apparently not as much). It works by being absorbed into the hair follicles and then spreads throughout the whole body. It’s a lot cheaper than the prescription stuff, but we bought it at PetSmart(a leading pet retailer) so we of course assumed there would be no risk. But I guess they (like so many other huge companies) are just out for an easy buck, because when you see websites like hartzvictims.org that have reported THOUSANDS of cases of cats seizing/dying from this products, you’d think they would be more aware of the problem. I’m sitting in my room, watching my poor cat still slightly convulsing on the bed. We’ve bathed him of course, and the vet has given him shots and medication for a month. He is slightly responsive to movement and petting. We have to monitor him for 3 days(and give him a bath every day for a week), and if he’s better after that he’ll probably pull through. It’s up in the air now. So horrible to see him like this. I have already contacted the local petsmart and talked to the manager, and will contact corporate when they are available. I have also emailed our local paper in the hopes that they will alert the public about this…and now I’m informing you guys! Spread the word…protect your animals… do NOT use BioSpot(or any other OOC flea medication). hartzvictims.org (hartz is the company under which biospot is sold) elversonpuzzle.com (about a dog’s reaction to it) Online Stores for Herbal and/or Natural Pet Remedies Only Natural Pet Store (where I personally shop) Drs. 444 images with 40,000-ish hits at 8:55 PM 23/01/2008 518 images with 51,243 visits at 12:25 PM 10 March 2008 I must really thank the inclusion of Garage on the home page over the last 48 hours for the extra 150 hits that got me over that milestone. And I have been giving a few photographs a heck of a lot of external publicity, so it’s no real surprise to reach this far… But hits/traffic/counters are not everything. Traffic Schmaffic. / Selling our imagery is what matters, which is what RB was designed and built for. The more professional, high-quality, and wall-worthy imagery we upload, the better RB works for all of us. I watch, view, appraise and comment (or favourite) on a lot of amazing artwork every day, and I have this to say : / RB is certainly filling and displaying the most fantastic and amazing artwork! So, if nothing else, the traffic is a good indicator that people are noticing Redbubble and viewing all of our artwork. That’s a good start…
