12×18 colored pencil on Artagain paper. Original unavailable. Saber was given to Noah’s because his owner could no longer care for him. He was a very talkative fellow and would get those paws of his between the fence and grab whatever he could. You just couldn’t get to close.. he was a bit of a prankster and loved to mess with people. He lived to the ripe old age of 17 and passed on in 2005. / I truly hope that another message comes through.. that these animals DO NOT MAKE GOOD PETS.. that’s why places like Noah’s are in existence. If people would just think before they buy that cute LITTLE cub.. life would be easier on all of us especially the animals. After all.. they didn’t ask to be in the situation they are.. and there are far to many unscrupulous people out there that are in it for the money.. / At least with education, we might make a little difference.. even if we save just one animal.. it’s a beginning!! / All proceeds from any sales will be donated to Noah’s Lost Ark Sanctuary for the care and feeding of the animals. / Completed 2004

I really don’t know that much about Mowgli.. he doesn’t seem to have had too hard of a time of it but he is at a sanctuary, so something went south. / I truly hope that another message comes through.. that these animals DO NOT MAKE GOOD PETS.. that’s why places like Noah’s are in existence. Mowgli’s one of those cats that just seems to be able to strike a pose no matter what. Colored pencil drawing on Strathmore Bristol Board 11” x 14”. Some of the minor highlights made with Exacto knife and acrylic paint. Drawing done from a photo. Some years ago the southeastern Mountain Lion became endangered, but it is my understanding that the population has since grown. In Florida they have been known to be called “panther” which is a misnomer. Native to the US, Mexico, and Canada, the Mountain Lion is also called “Cougar” and “Puma”.
