“Blue Couch Green Wall” by Paul Lavallee has been published in a magazine, exhibited in art galleries, and described by The Providence Journal as an “electric color study”. Generally, there are moving cars breezing past my window… / so ugly.. / / so busy. / / I’d rather slow things down (with the help of photoshop of course) and watch the vines grow. ;)
Met the wonderful Deepbluwater in LA, and not only did she organize this whole shoot in my, ‘dream home’ as far as interior design goes, but also modeled for me in the most perfect of ways. Huge thank you for making this concept come alive in such a perfectly designed environment and for such an amazing day! Heartfelt thanks!
The original drawing is 24” x 36”, reproductions of this image are meant for large scale reproduction, but will translate to smaller images without loss of detail. The drawing is on a neutral base and the variety of pencil lines and detail work are clearly visable in the reproduction. MCN: C8176-F2095-3AF45

Day #65 of my 365 days project – a self-portrait a day for a year.
On a snowshoe walk up the river yesterday morning, we saw some people across the canyon climbing straight up the side of the mountain, into this little rocky nook. We wondered where it was they were going, and figured there must be a cave up there. So on our way back downstream, we decided to head over there and check it out. After a scary climb up a long, steep ice sheet, we ended up at this awesome little cave, complete with firewood, couch and recliner, not to mention the amazing view! How rad is that!!!!!!!!!!!
Another one down, like 15 to go, lol. One of the reasons i have been so absent. i feel bad, but i am really trying to get this book done. One drawing takes forever, getting the composition can take days, or longer, then starting the sketch. i started this in pencil on 2 May, 2009. Finished in pencil & started in Prisma colored pencils on 9 May (my brother Chris’ birthday), & just finished today, 22 May (my Dad’s birthday). i will take a slight break & hopefully have time to come around. Really missing you all, but i gotta keep cracking the whip, really hoping to get this book completed.
