  • Orange yellow cotton harlequin bug otherwise known as a shield bug.

  • Macro shot of a cotton harlequin bug

  • We’re all familiar with the term and the fabric, 100% cotton, but I wonder how many people have actually seen cotton growing in the field. Here’s a plump cotton boll ripe for harvesting in south/central Louisiana.

  • I also have an online greeting card store. / Kimberly’s Card Store Images copyright ©Kimberly Palmer. / Copying, displaying, manipulating or redistribution of any image from this portfolio without permission from the artist is strictly prohibited / / Past and Present Group Features /

  • Part 3 of a series that arose out of me realising I had, prior to that time, ZERO dandelion shots in my (hypothetical) portfolio.

  • Oil on Canvas 50cm x 40cm (2007) / House Party VII. Another in my range of crazy colored houses. These images are inspired from scenes found in Bristol, England. The city has been transformed by rows of brightly colored houses. This and the other paintings in the House Party range celebrate the color of Bristol.

  • View other work from this series Untouched photograph – effect achieved ‘in-camera’ using a slow shutter speed, panning and the movement created by the wind. I took this series of abstract photographs over a period of approx 15 minutes, standing under a burgundy coloured cotton sheet that was blowing in the wind. Best viewed LARGE / /

  • The ancient buddhist temple of Ta Prohm, east of Angkor Thom, Cambodia. This amazing structure was built in the late 12th and early 13th centuries in the Bayon style. Unlike most Angkorian temples, Ta Prohm has been left in much the same condition in which it was found: the photogenic and atmospheric combination of trees growing out of the ruins and the jungle surroundings have made it one of Angkor’s most popular temples with visitors (thanks Wikipedia). This temple was used as a location for filming of the movie Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. The tree in this shot is, I believe, a silk-cotton tree (Ceiba Pentandra). Please correct me if I’m wrong!

  • Cotton Ball Clouds seem to stand like trees behind the Pine Trees.

  • Passionate, engaging, charismatic, influential, strong willed. ...but still my baby daughter, after these 17 years.

  • Featured in Domestic Art 17th July 2009 / Featured in Colour me a Rainbow 24th July 2009

  • lady-eastwick.deviantart.com is the lovely model

  • Influence of nature. Graceful curves. The wispy lines resambles branches and leaf motif on this piece. Enjoy it!

  • Stirling Ranges / Western Australia Looking for a unique image of the ranges I love so much I went to this salt lake for sunrise. Thick haze from nearby fires combined with the morning light with stunning results. 3 years of planning and many trips had paid off. • December 09 : I’ve decided to re-work this one. It’s my best seller, so why would I change a good thing? / Because I felt it could still be better. / I wanted to ramp up the colour a little, & gave it a grungier border. I hope you enjoy this edit. close detail : / If you’re looking for the original, click on this T-shirt : /
