Taken from the Hotel Westminster whilst on a Mid Winter Break. The image was taken late afternoon before the traffic on the Promenade de Anglais grinds to a halt in the rush to get home.

La Rue Obscure is the oldest street in the old town of Villefranche sur Mer on the French Riviera, between Nice and Monaco. It was built on virgin soil at the beginning of the 13th century. La Rue Obscure formed the basis of the rest of the town’s construction on the slopes rising from this coastal lane. It gave inhabitants of the town certain refuge against possible attacks. The ship captains who were forced by storms to anchor in the bay, could make necessary repairs in safety. La Rue Obscure also welcomed precious merchandise, such as wine, in its cellars.

A pigeon landed, saw the human with the silver shiny thing and flew off again. The five pigeons were circling many times over their huge home, around the pine trees over to the grapevines and back again. They then nicked off somewhere else, either hiding until I left or just for a rest. Once upon a time, before snails delivered the mail, we had carrier pigeons and they lived in marvellous mansions like this one!!

Night over a French fishing village nestled into a bay situated between Cote de Basque and Grande Plage on the south west coast of France. The thing that struck me most about Biarritz and the surrounding areas of the south west coast of France was that the locals were most active at night, opening bars, resutrants and shops for a clientele heavily saturated with tourists. You can get a meal or buy a drink until late in Biarritz but forget about buying breakfast until at least 9.30 / 10.00am in the morning as nothing is open and the streets are virtually empty. Photo taken June 2008.
Back in 2008 during the Top Marques Monaco (only live show in the world), I had the chance to get (with two friends of mine) an incredible photoshooting with the Gemballa Company. / It was a great moment !

The little village of Vence in the French Riviera is very pleasant and relaxed, as you can see here.
This Lighthouse is situated on the Pink Granite Coast (Cote de Granit Rose) on the northern coastline of Brittany, France. (West of Perros-Guirec) The area is famous for it’s granite rocks ranging from pink to red in colour and this type of rock can only be found in two other places in the world – Corsica and China.
