  A black and white image taken in 1995 during Irish director Ricky Corrs short film shoot “I am River Phoenix” the story of a surreal transfer of souls as the tragic news breaks that River Phoenix, one of the worlds most promising young talents has died. In this scene River Phoenix is about to meet Marilyn Monroe. This photo and the one titled “I am River Phoenix” were taken atop Irelands then tallest building, the 15 story Liberty Hall.

  I have a couple of calendars available to buy! I’m thrilled with how they have been designed by Redbubble and they look great hanging on the wall. Attractive and practical. Scenes Through a Lens contains a range of my black and white photographs. I tried to tie the images in with the seasons. View a reduced-quality version in PDF. Warm and Blue contains images with orange or yellow and blue tones in them. I noticed that I had a few in this vein and thought they might look good in a calendar.   I’ve been a bit absent lately, due to a lack of inspiration. Actually, I felt like this picture. Bleak and sad, because the summer is definitely gone. Picture was taken in Corr na Móna. One of the Gaeltacht (=Irish speaking) villages in Connemara, co. Galway. There is a tiny harbour at the cross roads by the river, and these boats lying there were suffering from the weather as well. Let’s hope they survive until spring arrives!!! PP: Contrast, levels, dodge/burn, texture for the sky which was really dull and grey.
