There are some places in the Melbourne GP that exude luxury and exclusivity – the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes corporate “village” is one of those.
Crown Towers hotel, with flaming pylons along the Yarra. The fireball shows take place approximately 3,000 times a year, and each show consists of hundreds of fireballs with diameters of between three and seven metres. / fireballs, which are discharged from flame towers at regular intervals, burnt significant amounts of gas and contributed to global warming.

Dance to postpone the wellbeing of the planet… the economy comes first / Acrylic on Canvas painting 140×108 cm loaded and digitized in Photoshop Those grey suits are endless and like grubs in the ground they have grubby ways of operating. This is my story. The grey suited corporates dance in tricky ways, there is always a goal and converting you is part of the dance. The plastic smiles and mechanical body gestures dead giveaways, and even if you stand there determined to resist the power of the grey suit hierarchy, your head in an instant can be on the block. Having principles is naïve, understanding the system and working within it takes skill and intelligence. Trying to convince the old grey suits that the value of art to the community is not something that can be measured by the dollar is difficult enough, dreaming that they might understand art’s place in the wellbeing of society is just too much. Art is only decoration for walls isn’t it? The Gallery downstairs in the local government offices was considered to be a waste of space – space that could have been used for more offices and more grey suits pushing around forms and reports in an endless cycle of approvals, rubber stamps, rituals and meetings. The higher the floor level the higher the salary and the bigger the office. Gallery staff on the ground floor were definitely from another planet. What a waste of time & money all those exhibitions are! Who wants to know about other cultures, new mediums, women’s issues, social injustice, consumerism, genetic engineering, environment or nature; why waste time imagining other worlds or reaching out and soothing the human psyche when the state of the economy is more important? It was a rare indeed to see grey haired men in grey suits from upstairs in the Gallery.

Crike crocodile has got himself another one!
there was a time that I cropped everything in camera. Back in the glorious days of my K1000. One shot, a wait, the result. If I got it, I got it. If I didn’t, it wasn’t meant to be. That was the magic. After going digital I mostly still tried to stick to the pure approach, but the temptation to succumb to photoshop and the ability to see the results glowing off the back of your camera has tarnished that purity. Snap. ‘Hmm… not quite… delete.’ Snap. ‘mmm…. delete’ Snap. This is one of the first shots I took with my first DSLR (rebel xt… that’s x-tra trout baby, and don’t you forget it!). long before I acquired photoshop. Back when I had no idea how or why to edit a photo. It’s something that happens to me when I go to the mall. I’ve always been a wordsmith. Despite this rambling description, I enjoy language and it’s manipulation. I see words everywhere I go. Sometimes I see them hiding in other words. They giggle at me, like little leprechauns, thinking they’re hiding. They’re always a little embarrassed when I catch them, but they still pose. I fear they might begin to tell me things I don’t want to know. / This one was taken from the title of a store called Garage where suburban kids with too much money buy clothes that look faded and old or that make them look like they have little self respect. as seen in my calendar reality edited /
